Epilogue

Annalise walked quietly down the hall as she heard her husband speaking. She smiled from the doorway of her husband's office as she saw him reading a daily report out loud to Edward who was laying on the floor listening. This was the tradition, he loved to hear his father reading quietly to him. She tiptoed in and laid on the floor next to her little boy as he was falling asleep and cradled him in her arms as they listened to Richard read a report he needed to get thru.

"My love don't lay on the floor..." he said with a smile.

"I am comfortable with my baby boy... keep reading love..." she smiled wide feeling tired.

She was awoken when she felt herself get picked up and she looked up at Richard and smiled "Where is Edward..."

"In his bed my queen..."

"Good..." she smiled waking fully up "because I have a surprise for you!" she screamed happily jumping from his arms and running down the hall.

King Richard laughed as he ran after her "You are a queen you are not supposed to run." He smiled at George stopping by him.

George smiled knowing where the queen was leading him and how big the surprise was. "Majesty I hope you have a good night is there anything I can do for you..."

"No George just have a nice night and watch out for Eddward please... I have a queen to catch." Richard laughed.

"Always sire..." he bowed as the king ran after his wife laughing.

They ran into their bedroom and straight into the joining room that had been used as a nursery but was currently emptied which confused Richard.

He ran in and caught his queen and his breath stopped short as he looked around. There was candles everywhere and roses everywhere but what blew his mind more was the new nursery furniture everywhere and the baby clothes spaced around.

"I..." Richards was at a loss for words.

"You are going to be a daddy again..." she smiled at him.

He turned to her with the biggest smiled and pulled her against him kissing her everywhere.

"I love you..." he whispered.

"I love you my king." She kissed him and pulled him into the bed where they spent the whole night like it was the end of the world.

The next morning Richard woke up to an empty bed and felt odd she was never up before him and even if she was, she would cuddle into him and wait for him to wake up. He stood and stretched and walked into the restroom ready to surprise her, but she was gone. He felt panic because he always worried when he didn't know where she was but as he was walking out the restroom door, he saw her thru the window walking.

He smiled sadly knowing where she was going, he would give her a few minutes and then would follow he told himself but before a second could pass he sighed and walked out after her.

As she sat in her bench, he placed his hands on her shoulders. "Are you okay Annalise..."

"Honestly?" she smiled at him.

"Yes always my queen..." he smiled at her question.

"I'm just thinking about our life together and how it has been and everything we have been thru. Richard I am sorry for not loving you like you deserved and not being the wife, you deserved always." Analise said as tears went down her face.

"Hey!" he sat next to her and pulled her into his lap turning her in his arms "I knew what I got in to when I married you and I made way more mistakes than you ever did. Annalise you are the love of my life and I would do it over and over again suffer if I have to because I am in love with you and I will take it all the good and the bad because you are everything... you, Edward and this little one are everything... my life... my world."

"Richard, I hurt you!" she stood and let a breath out feeling nauseous.

"and I hurt you..." he took a deep breath.

Annalise let out a sigh and ran to a tree and threw up until she was sobbing. "I don't know..."

"Annalise take a deep breath the past is the past we are moving forward, and this baby is going to be the best thing to happen to us apart from Edward and we need nothing except us and our kids you got that okay baby." He smiled at her and the love and devotion in his eyes that he saw see in her eyes made his heart warm up and skip a beat.

Richard stood in the nursery watching the twins Elijah and Elizabeth asleep in their cribs and Annalise holding a sleeping Edward in her arms.

"This is the life..." he whispered at George who was standing at his side.

"I am glad you found your way sir and that you finally got her heart as she has always had yours." George smiled.

"This is my world George and I will never forget it again and I will never let anything get in the way of it again."

"Good sir... and even if you do, I will be here to knock some sense into you... have a nice night." George smiled.

Annalise smiled up at Richard "Can you get your son he has gotten very heavy." Annalise smiled up at Richard as he took him but not before giving her a kiss.

"This is our future king baby..." the king kissed his son.

Annalise smiled rubbing her swollen stomach and she smiled up at Richard "Yes he is... he will be a great king... you think we can handle one more baby?" she smiled wide knowing if it was up to him they would have twenty more.

Richard kissed her forehead "we can do anything as long as we are together..."

"Forever Your Majesty." She smiled at him knowing in her heart this was everything her king, her princes and princess and the baby that would very soon be joining them.

He smiled kissing her again and he walked to the door and looked back in again at his wife and kids. "This is everything..." he winked at her as she smiled widely at him.
