Chapter Twelve: The First Challenge  

Then after having traveled day after day. We finally reached the next destination. We looked around and there was nothing to be seen around for miles. We then resorted to trying our senses but still no signs of anything around. Then we heard a rustling noises in the bushes so we released our swords. Then out of the bushes a wolf came out and just ran by us.

Then we heard more noises and then we saw deer coming out from the woods and we were almost trampled. We wondered what was leading them to run away from that direction. Was it the serpent? We were so confused and then heard a lot of hissing noises coming from every direction of the woods this time.

Then we noticed that we had been surrounded. We noticed that there were snakes the sizes of houses. They are red, had a huge spike on their foreheads, and they also had two spikes coming out of their tails.How did we not see them coming? How did they get so big? Matt stays quiet then finally responds. They are naturally that big. They are just a mutation from a snake that went rouge in the foundation. It then grew in size from devouring everything in its path.

Then every time it had one one of their offspring ended up growing that big instantly. Its not really a good time to talk now. Were being attacked. Lets save the chat for later. 

We then charged at the serpents and I instantly started using magic on them. I had noticed that it had done nothing to them at all. Then Matt said that magic doesn't work on them. We have to resort to close combat style. I thought about it then sighed. I charged at them and slowed down the of them with my hidden move and I noticed that it had worked and the problem was that their skin was really tough. I could barley even left a cut  it but I managed to kill one.

I then looked towards Matt and he ended up killing one right after another. I had noticed that there were still twenty of them left so I rushed in and I released my extra set of wings to show that I have more power. I then cut one right after another just like Matt had been doing.

Then there was one left. We both were about to strike until we noticed that it started to devour its comrades. This is a horrible scene I thought to myself. I then saw that it was growing in size and that it was starting to grow even more spikes. It was now about the size of a mountain. We both reacted to it swinging its tail at us but we were a bit late and we were flung away from our spot. We were blown away a whole mile.

We then rushed back to the huge snake and we both slashed at its neck and left an X shaped mark on it. Then we did the same on the other side of its neck. Then I rushed to the front one more time and he said are you ready? I said yeah even though I didn't know what he was planing to do. He said to stab right though the X and leave the sword there and he would finish it off with something he had been practicing on.

He then did the same as I did then he released the other sword. He then was cutting the snake and made some symbols on it's neck. He then did something similar to what I do but his hand is surrounded by water. He then punched right at the struggling snake and punched the middle of the symbols he had made and the whole body of the snake vaporized completely and it was just raining water instead of blood due to the move Matt had done.

We then landed back onto the ground. We then decided to sit down right were we were to rest. We then started to looked at each other. There was silence between us for quiet some time. Then after all of that silence we both started to laugh for no real reason. Lets do this again some time we both said to each other! We then continued to laugh since we apparently knew each others thoughts. Lets keep on going until we reach our destination.
