i heard a clanging across the bars again so i opened my eyes and lifted my head it was dean and a stable hand they led every horse out except the mare with the foal when it came down to my stall they put the halter over my head along with one on lucky and archer they led us out and towards a part of the ranch i had never seen before it was many small pastures together with dirt ground i was led into one along with lucky and archer "come on they are a year old time for them to part ways" the stable hand said to the man i looked him in the eyes dean nodded and the stable hand opened the gate reaching for archer i snapped and got in front of him pinning my ears back he pushed me out of the way so i grabbed his shirt with my mouth and ripped him away from them making him fall to the ground "Wow!" dean said and got in front of me "easy girl" he said in a soft tone but i heard gorden he was squealing as they dragged him down here "i'm sorry boy" dean said to gorden before they tied him to the post the stable hand quickly wrapped a rope around my muzzled and head then tied it to the post it was just so quick i couldn't move or protect my Baby's i watched as he approached the scared archer and lucky i ripped my head around trying to get out of the rope anger rising in me as the man put a rope on them using that and the halter to force archer into walking out i put my legs on the railing and forced my weight onto it snapping the wood and freeing my head i charged towards the man angry as he barreled towards the stabled and shut himself in i reared up and let out a neigh full of anger scaring the other workers and stable hands adeline approached me but i bit her hand she looked at me shocked dean pulled her away from me and many people came and threw ropes on me forcing me away from archer and lucky dean jumped on my back and stuck a sharp thing in my neck i bucked and reared up trying to loose him but he had put a neck rope on me like i remembered i started feeling tired and dizzy dean got off and took the neck rope off as well, this time it was worse my legs felt tingly and i collapsed my eyes felt heavy as bricks i tried to keep them open but they where shut shortly after. i felt like my body was sore and on fire i could hear people talking my eyes slowly opened as i realized i was in a small pasture lying on the ground i could hear archer urging me to wake up and i could hear lucky crying i lifted my head up and i could see people looking into the pasture staring at me "is she in foal?" a lady asked "no she is a little tubby and just woke up from being under a calming drug" the man replied i got to my feet but was swaying a bit the lady reached out to feel my coat which was still shiny "hmm might do some good as a show jumping horse or carriage horse" the lady said calmly as she pet me "the yearlings in the one next her are her foals well the colt is the filly she raised" the same chuckled "she is my foal!" i whinnied at him placing my feet properly on the ground "alright the showing will begin soon so we will take them down there now" the man said getting off his chair and coming over to the door then walked in and started leading me to some arena but many people where watching with paddles in their hands the man slapped my flank not to hard but just enough to wake me up more then led me in a jump was set so he led me around and ordered me to canter i jumped the jump with ease the man ordered me to do a nice fine trot "going for 100 dollars" the man at the stand said in a booming voice a man held the paddle up "100 dollars" but another person stuck one up "300" they said "going for 300 dollars" the booming man said i was still trotting around and he was making me do my finest jumps and show my best angles "1000!" a man said but i realized the voice i looked into the crowd stopping to see Glenn i whinnied for him "1300" a lady said "2000!" glenn said the other lady replied with "5000" glenn was shocked but got the courage to say "6000!" she gave up and said no more "sold to the man at the back" the man said and i was led out to him "hey dad can we leave i don't want be here" i heard someone say i looked and it was rosetta "Wake up!" i heard someone yell i could see no one yelling "Wake up!" i heard it again everything went dark and i fell through the ground i opened my eyes and i was on the ground of a pasture must have been a dream i got to my feet i was in a sales yard just like in the dream! "mum wake up!" i looked and it was archer "i'm awake now tell me what happened" i asked "they put something in your neck and you passed out then they took us to this place they made us drag you here now we are all being sold" archer cried i hugged him "it's going to be okey" i smiled "over here daddy these horses would be great jumpers look at their body frames" a girl said as she rushed to my pasture i stayed near Archer and Lucky's pastures i gave the humans a nice view of my backside the man whistled and made a clucking sound calling me over but i did not budge "hmm she is stubborn" the man laughed "daddy i need her" she whined "well if you can prove that she will obey then ill get her for you" the man laughed "i want the other one as well" she whined "which one?" the man asked "the one that looks like her" she replied and went to pat him but i neighed loudly and snapped at her hand "hey sales man what is the relationship between these horses?" he asked "oh the black and white mare is named lotta and she is the mother of the two Archer and Lucky" the man laughed "have fun trying to pat the foals" the man laughed the girl got in my pasture and started walking towards me "come on girl just let me get on you" she said calmly i didn't move she came to my side i breathed fast and my sides sweating without a saddle she got on it felt funny having someone on my back without a saddle to suppress the weight when someone walked down on a black Friesian "have you guys chosen a horse yet" the boy asked i started to get annoyed from her weight and her heels on my sides so i tried biting at her feet the man clucked and held his hand out to me "yes your sister found this mare but she is stubborn, also that yearling there" he replied to the boy i approached his hand sniffing it and it smelt like sugar cubes i started eating them when they threw a bucket in that had oats i started eating the oats i felt the girl moving around on my back when i felt something slip around my neck then i heard a buckle and felt a saddle go on my back i lifted my head from the bucket and looked she had put a neck rope on me along with a jumping saddle they opened the pen door and the girl clucked so i walked she clucked twice more so i cantered she held on with the neck rope but told me to turn with the stirrups she faced me towards a jump and clucked again i didn't listen and cantered and jumped with ease landing perfectly "dad she is perfect buy her" she said as we passed him "time to test the boy" the man replied as we slowed down and went towards him she got off and he held me still while i watched as she tacked up Archer with a saddle and bridal i could tell he didn't like it the man put a halter on me to make sure i stayed still she mounted him the whites of his eyes showed and he pinned his ears back "be careful he is young he might buck you off" the sales man said a bit worried before i knew it they where running around he bucked quite a few times trying to get her off but she stuck to him like gum on paper i reared up trying to snatch the lead out of his hands but he tied me to a steel fencing archer started to obey and stopped bucking the man handed the sales man something green "here's 4000 for them" he smiled and untied me leading me away "but what about the other one?" the sales man asked lucky crying for me "Mum!" she cried i tried putting my weight into coming closer to lucky but he pulled harder "Lucky!" i said worried trying to get closer to her archer had tears coming down his face as he was forced to walk away from lucky the filly who he still thought was his blood related sister they had a strong bond when a person on a brown horse without tack just a neck rope came running and freed every horse and yanking the ropes also halters off us "RUN!" the man yelled i ran with archer lucky joined us as we ran through the village but a horse caught my eye it was no it couldn't be it was Hunter all skin and bone with whip lashes on him cuts on his knees no muscle but he was running next to gorden i smiled and we continued running i don't think he saw me yet.
