we walked for a while till we reached a water hole where we all drank. after i had some water i went back over to the large spread of grass while the day started to cool down as the sun was going i knew that i cant stay with them long till i am back in shape then i'm going to find my family which i know i am far away from but i know to always follow the north star till then i have to eat up and gain some weight from my skinny state i also have to get some muscle the stallion which i found out that his name is Rusty came walking over "you feeling better now you have food and water?" he asked standing next to me "yeah" i replied then looked at his nice Silver coat which they all seemed to have some lighter some darker "i just hope that you can make it through the summer heat" he said and a frown came across him "last summer we lost twenty to the heat" he said and looked up and into the sky at the stars "i'm sorry to hear that" i frowned "So how did you end up with those humans?" he asked me "i was born in captivity, my mother and father are champion jump horses" i faintly smiled "do you have any family apart from your parents?" he asked looking at me "i have a colt and a filly i adopted a good friend then my mate but they are in the wild i wish to join them though" i frown looking at the ground "once your in shape you can head north where you came from but till then for your safety and health stick with us" he said and went back to the herd i managed to drift off to sleep. Four Months Later Lotta's POV i did some running around managing to gain weight and muscle almost ready to stick to my coarse, i ran through the brush jumping the few logs there where running through the water as well spraying it onto my sides which where getting wider by the day rusty's mate scarlet is now overdue and we are worried about her she is very wide and hardly moves i finished my daily workout and made my way to where she usually was near the grassy field. i could see her laying down "are you okey?" i asked lowering my head to her "itchy" she complained rolling around then sitting upright but not on her feet still laying down "i wish this foal would come already" she sigh she was usually full of energy and always running or doing something but this really was making her tired and unable to keep up with the moving herd, i caught a smell i recognized it i looked up and into the distance to see a chestnut horse that had a saddle and reins on it just standing there no human in sight so i started walking over cautiously when i realized there was a human standing behind him she started calling to me i walked towards her a bit but when i remembered what every human has ever done to me i turned quickly bucking then running off back to scarlet. everyday that lady and horse would come back and do the same thing try and call me over i'm starting to think she means no harm. i looked over and sure enough she was there the 18 day in a row i walked over to her closer than last actually right next to her she gave me a pat touching me for the first time "hey girl" she cooed then started feeling over my large stomach "i'd say your about one month from birth" she chuckled then gave me a carrot i heard someone and there was another person on a fully black horse coming down the hill she made some sort of sign to her and she slowed down coming towards us stopping at a nice distance she continued to feel at my sides when i heard scarlets screams my ears perked up and i pinpointed where they where coming from i bolted away running to where i could hear her she lay on the ground in pain i could see her water broke there was more people coming down the hill they must have been a tour group because they where taking many pictures they kept coming closer and scarlet was getting uncomfortable with their presence so i ran up to them rearing up they scattered but eventually found a way around me i kept running them away but they where persistent "Stop! leave them" the lady yelled at them they shrugged her off trying to get more pictures of scarlet who was in pain still Rusty came over which made them run as he chased them biting when he got close enough when they where far enough and stopped i reared up letting a battle cry out going back to scarlet who was exhausted her breathing a little heavy i looked behind her to see a little grey foal the people must have saw it because they where all in awe sticking their distance though scarlet sat up looking at the foal then smiling i checked its gender and it is a colt he is big though i nudged him and he opened his eyes i don't know why but i wanted him mine scarlet stood up and him soon after i stood in between them he was confused on who his mum is scarlet gave me a nip telling me to move i gave in and moved she soon fed him and licked him the herd was starting to move and i followed. we galloped through the thin brush the sand flicking up at us i could sense the two people following us i watched as the colt scarlet named Alex i sped up a bit Third person POV all of the herd galloped through the hot sand and bits of grass their manes flying and tails gliding through the wind the sound of their feet in rhythm as they pelted through it all the foals next to their mothers scarlet at the front leading them and rusty at the back lotta right behind scarlet their thundering hooves shaking rocks and flinging some into the air their grey and silver coats shining in the suns rays but lotta stuck out with her black and white coat. they soon eased their running and stopped at the lush grassy field grazing on it Lotta's POV i grazed on the nice lush grass a bit far from the herd soon to feel someone's hand run up my side "i honestly don't know how she allows you near her" i heard her friend chuckle "she likes you" the chestnut horse said as he came a little closer "will she let you on" her friend asked two white horses came over the hill with their riders she put a bit of pressure on my back i didn't move i allowed her to be near me she got on him then put his side next to my side sliding from his saddle to my back "Ha" she cheered "anyone can do that" one of the girls on a white horse said and got off her horse the girl got off me then she mounted me without help "well can you stay on" the friend chuckled then smacked my backside i jolted my head upright then started running "Wh- Hey!" she yelled gripping my mane i galloped then halted at the water she flung forward but gripped my neck her body hanging in front of me i whipped around she clung on for dear life if she falls or gets loosen grip she would fall under my moving feet the others must have realized how much danger they put her in because they started chasing me i could see a log ahead and i was ready to jump when she used my head as grip along with my neck i jumped awkwardly the pressure from holding her weight was starting to annoy me i ripped around trying to get her off till point break i reared up and she fell down i came slamming down my front feet one on each side of her my face over hers my breath so heavy it made her hair go out of her face the others arrived soon throwing ropes around my neck i have had enough with the ropes i put so much force into them that the ropes snapped and i galloped away from them they soon followed not far behind i quickly got a glance and it was not the girls it was grown men riding different horses so that was why ropes where thrown on me. i need to warn the others when i was getting closer to them they all perked their heads up "Run!" i yelled they scattered i could see scarlet leading them away but Alex not at her side he was at the water bank playing in the water i turned quickly heading for him then standing between them they stopped getting off and trying to creep towards us they where at each side of me i had enough closed my eyes tight then bucked many times over before hearing a thud i looked and one man had been knocked in the chest "right that's enough" the other man yelled throwing a rope around my neck.
