Five Months Later i felt a nudge on my side "wake up" i opened my eyes and it was Quinn we had stayed at Liam's for a while now "hey want to go for a run?" she asked "sure but maybe a walk instead" i said concerned on the fact i was so wide now we walked around the pasture a bit but she was a bit tubby as well because she had her own foal on the way as well but she was only 7 months along and i was 10 and three weeks and the sire to her foal was a stud. we continue our little walk but hunter came running over with a bit of a spring in his step "one more week!" he said with cheer "till what?" i asked "till your due" he smiled then nuzzled my huge bulge i snapped and bit him he was shocked and retreated his head away from my belly my ears pinned back i snorted at him "alright i think its time we separate the mares and stallions for a little while" Glenn said walking over with Liam they did as said and moved the boys to a different pasture i walked away from Quinn and too the fencing i looked out at the ocean and the waves i looked back and quinn was at the other side eating hay i snuck over to the gate and unlatched it i gallop out and down to the beach side i frolicked in the water dashing around in it my coat was doused with salt water along with my mane and tail then chase also Lias came sprinting past with rosetta on lias and ben on chase while they ran i bolted from their vision it felt nice that i could finally run with no limit i ran through the thick brush but came across a nice water bank the water was cristal clear i drank some and it went down wonderfully i stood there calm and relaxed but so relaxed i fell a sleep. i woke up to a sharp pain in my sides it was getting worse by the minute i whinnied with pain in my voice i lay down on my side which released some pressure but i felt my water break "the baby's coming!" i shriek i heard hoofs coming this way hopefully it was hunter here to comfort me i looked into the dark with high hopes but what appeared was three wolfs snarling their ribs showing they must be hungry but no way they where gonna eat me or my baby i jumped to my feet still in pain but i am not giving up on life this easy i quickly gallop towards the stables but the pain was starting to get the better of me but i saw it Rosetta with Ben they where searching the woods for me i let out a whinny before my legs gave way underneath me they came running over and scared the wolfs away "its going to be okay" she said calmly as she pat my side then she got me to my feet and we walked to the stables where i went into a stall. i layed down my breathing was heavy they watched from the stall door as i slowly push the foal out bit by bit i huff with one more push and the foal was out i was exhausted and tired i lay still for a little while but then i felt movement behind me legs scrambling next to my haunches i take a deep breath and lift my front to sit up and i look and there he is my little piebald boy i lean over to him and we lock eyes my breath blowing at his tiny mane i licked the gunk of his little head but i heard hunters soft whinny as he walked up to the stall he lowered his head and walked in towards our colt he licked his forehead then nuzzled me on the cheek i got to my feet i nuzzled him for him to get up i looked at hunter in the eye "what should we name him?" i asked "Jay?" he said "how about Archer?" i asked "perfect" he replied i nudged archer to get up and he scrambled to his feet but fell over his legs where splayed as he try to stand i put my nose under his belly for him to find stability "mummy" he said looking me in the eye "yes i'm here for you" i said in a soft motherly tone he was on his feet i nudged him to drink and he did once he was done he looked at me and he had milk all over his mouth me and hunter chuckled then we walked out wit our heads high in pride but with Archer by my side quinn whinnied and came over "awe he's adorable" she said i used my body to keep him away from the others but i found a little spot in the pasture that looked comfy and safe also warm for him chase came walking over and i pinned my ears back and neighed loudly at him "back off!" i say he was confused i even nipped at hunter to stay back "her motherly instincts are kicking in" Liam said to Glenn archer stay hidden underneath me once they where away from us i started to graze but my teats got sore and milk started to drip from them dumb chase snuck behind me and stuck his tounge out i sensed him and looked he had his head under me trying to score some dropping milk i pinned my ears back and whipped my body around smacking his jaw with my thigh i nip and bite at him and chase after him archer followed me like a shadow i bucked and kicked at chase i bit his haunches drawing a little blood he squealed in pain and ran away from me but archer squealed i turned around and quinn was sniffing him i lost it and charged a her "away from him!" i yell she got scared and ran "angry mum" Glenn laughed i turned to face archer and licked him clean then i calmed and he ran some more milk and for the rest of the night i stay alert for anyone near him.
