The last day I practiced my speech in the bathroom while I bathed.
I have had so much fun because of Matteo's activities he had prepared for me.
The first day after we left Lorenzo's house, we just stayed in the hotel. We both felt tired so we decided to sleep. I read a book first before going to sleep. I still overthought what had just happened before. Matteo had a bad mood all that afternoon, so I decided to talk to him about it.
He asked me what his father said to me but I said he didn't said nothing to me. It was just a misunderstanding. He didn't believe me because he knew when I lied.
He went to sleep without saying a word but when I laid down he pushed me towards him to hug me and he excused himself for his attitude.
I was really impressed because I thought he was mad after all. But I guess I was wrong. The next day we woke up early to go to eat in the lobby an amazing breakfast. We left and went to 'Villa San Michele' which I fell in love with, the place was white and big.
The people who worked there began describing and explaining the history of the place.
The place Villa San Michele in Anacapri was the dream home of the Swedish physician, Axel Munthe.
Munthe first came to Capri in 1885. He built his villa on the ruins of an ancient Chapel dedicated to San Michele, following a series of sketches made on a wall. Yep. I even memorized it.The view was amazing and the walls had many written passages but one of them grabbed my attention as a woman explained.
'My house must be open to the sun, to the wind, and the voice of the sea, just like a Greek temple, and light, light, light everywhere!'
Axel Munthe. The woman began saying, "Munthe shared his love of music, animals, and nature with the Swedish queen, Victoria, who spent long periods of her life on Capri for health reasons. Axel Munthe's concern for the birds on the island, which were shot in disastrous numbers, led him to acquire the rights to the Barbarossa Mountain in order to create a sanctuary for migrating birds."
I payed attention to every word she said as other people did.
After she finished we walked both of us alone.
"Look at this view!," I yelled.
"We should scream," he said firmly as he smiled at me.
"Why?."
"Because we are fucking happy, duh."
I laughed.
"Besides this is what people tell us always, 'live your life'. This is living!."
"You're crazy."
"Don't are we all? We are crazy in our own way. That's why we have friends and a partner for life because they are crazy just like we are. It just makes life funnier," he said as happiness bloomed inside of me. I saw a glare of joy in his face as I smiled at him.
"Fine. Ready?."
"I was born ready."
I rolled my eyes.
"Okay. One, two, three...."
We both screamed loudly until we loosed our breath. We both ended laughing.
"We must get out of here. They are going to kick us out," he said looking at me.
I saw how a office man came forward in a hurry so I started go run.
"Run," I yelled.
"What?."
But I laughed as he finally did. We ran until we got outside. I stopped to catch my breath as he did.
