A wyrm sat alone on the edge of a cliff.

He kept his talons busy with some pieces of paper, which he folded into different shapes. He took a white piece of paper and folded it into the shape of a wyrm. The he added some purple to it and made it a glorious flower. He had a way with paper.

he picked up a rock. He flattened it out and folded it as easily as he did to his paper.

"Origami!" a pale white wyrmling bounced over to him.

"Whatcha' doin'?" she asked him, looking at the grey paper in his talons.

"Folding," he smiled. "Care to join me?"

"Of course!" Parchment happily took the flower he had been working on and added some brilliant yellow to it.

"Sunflower," she said.

"Hm," he replied. "Watch this." he took the rock he had been folding. It was shaped like a grey butterfly with some green paper he had added to it. He touched his orange talon to it, and it came to life, fluttering it's little wings.

"Wow," Parchment breathed. "Can I name him?"

"Sure," Origami smiled. "What makes you think that it's a him?"

"Well," Parchment said. "You're a him, and you're awesome, so he should be a him, too! Foldifly! Oh, Foldifly!" she called to it, bounding away. It obediently followed her.

Origami blinked. The blissful sight was gone. The cliff was still there, and so was the rock-turned-butterfly. But Parchment was gone. She had died years ago.

He crumpled up the rock.

He would get his revenge.
