HIGH SCHOOL HAD NEVER BEEN JOSH'S PRIORITY. All his life he'd thought of it as nothing but a chore, only this time it was a chore the government forced him to do and not his parents. But nowhere he was standing inside the building he hated, surrounded by people he didn't know and who didn't know him. Josh sighed as he swung his backpack over his shoulder and continued down the hallway, the school was smaller than one he was usually accustomed to, there probably wasn't even a thousand people inside, including the teachers and other members of staff.

Looking down at his schedule he saw that he had international history first. A groan escaped the boy's lips as he scrunched up his nose in disgust, international history? Who the hell liked international history?

'Well, I guess now I have a napping period.'

Joshua thought to himself as he tried to find his classroom. The history classroom was located on the second floor of the building at the far end of the hallway. Joshua arrived at his class about ten minutes late which was honestly the earliest he'd ever remembered himself getting into a class. The boy grabbed into the cold metal door handle before twisting it and entering the room. As he did so every set of eyes quickly shot to his direction, as he'd walked in right in the middle of their teacher speaking to the class.

"May I help you?" the teacher, a man in his early to mid-forties with auburn hair and medium skin asked the boy who'd just stepped into his classroom unannounced. Joshua bit back a rude comment as Sam's angered face popped into his mind.

'I should wait a few days before showing my true colours.'

He thought to himself, before turning his attention back to the teacher who was still waiting for a response to his question. Joshua sighed, held onto his backpack strap.

"I'm your new student," he stated what he believed was painfully obvious. The man stared at him strongly his light brown eyes were trying to detect whether or not the boy had been lying. Although, Josh wasn't sure why this man would even assume such a thing. Who'd want to lie about being in an International History course?

"Name?" the man asked him, as he looked down at his attendance list.

"Joshua Uley II," Josh stated his full legal name, the name that had been on the attendance list. The man nodded as if to confirm that Josh wasn't lying, though he still wasn't done with the boy.
