JOSH BARGED INTO SAM'S HOME WHEN HE WAS LAYING ON THE COUCH SLEEPING. Sam was shaken awake by Josh who was fuming when he woke up the first thing he saw was his younger brother's glare. He rubbed his face as he sat up in his seat. Josh noticed how tired he looked, the dark circles under his eyes were prominent.

"What?" Sam asked as he tried to wipe away his slumber, once he did he looked back up at Josh. "Wait, shouldn't you be in school?"

"Oh, cut the crap." Josh snapped, his tone made Sam walk up as he looked taken aback.

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. Why the hell should I have to go to school, when you're frolicking around in a gang!" Josh exclaimed to his older half-brother. He noticed the surprised look on Sam's face and scoffed, "You know you're such a hypocrite. Judging me for having my problems when you're even worse."

The older boy stood up and Josh continued to glare at him. Sam had to come up with something to say but he wasn't sure if Josh would believe him or not. "You don't know what you're talking about," he told him.

Josh crossed his arms over his chest, "then please elaborate. What's your relationship with Jared Cameron? Why are you always gone at night, and return in the early morning? What does your tattoo mean? Huh?"

Sam opened his mouth to speak but closed it soon after. He bit his lip as he looked like he was going through an internal struggle. He knew that he couldn't tell him, it was forbidden, so he just kept quiet.

"Wow, so much for brothers getting to know each other, right?" Josh spat before walking past Sam, as he did he bumped shoulders with the boy before retreating up the stairs. Sam kept standing in his spot until the boy was gone, he sighed and rubbed his face as he sat back down on the couch.

"Shit."

Weeks had passed since Josh was forcibly moved to La Push reservation. Most of his time was spent with a grimace on his face, he didn't like the place that much. La Push was completely different from the city he grew up in, and there was nothing to do. The only thing he seemed to look forward to was getting to spend time with his new friends.

"Yo, Josh!"

The boy shut his locker and turned to see Quil waving at him from down the hall, on their side of him was Jacob and Embry. The sides of Josh's mouth twitched upwards as he saw the three of them, he made his way over to them.
