The Collab (Jaiden x James)

Jaiden's POV

I was laying back after a bunch of long night animating. My schedule was just animating all day and staying up some nights. But not tomorrow. Tomorrow, I was going to James place for a collaboration! I was pretty excited to see home again. It's been so long since we met. Maybe he would even remember me. Ari started screaming so I got up to play with him. Nothing left to do today but okay with my little bird I guess.

When I woke up the next day I did the same thing : feed Ari, take a shower, and eat breakfast. I heard my phone ring as I answered I head a familiar voice that made my heart melt. "Hey Jaiden! You coming over?"

"Oh yeah! I can't wait to see you." I said getting outside the door.

"Well you won't have to." James said as I heard a horn beep. James was in his car waving at me. We gave each other a hug and I got into the car. "You never said you would pick me up."

"I don't say a lot of things Jaiden. Plus, I wanted to surprise you. Now get put your seatbelt on or I won't drive."

I put my seatbelt on and he drove. It was a pretty quiet car ride until James started humming to a song on the radio. "You like it too?" I asked looking at him confused. "Yeah I love [ Insert Song Name ]! The lyrics, the beat, melody, it's just all great!" We both started singing. It was so much fun. James sang so well. He was a great singer.

Once, we got to his house I hear barking. "Floof!" James said going over to great his pet. I followed him over to Floof. "Hello Floof." I said letting the cutie. James left for a bit so it was just the two of us for a bit. I didn't mind, I love animals.

James' POV

Jaiden and Floof look so cute together!  I loved how they both played with each other. I would normally watch Floof but I was enjoying seeing Jaiden's smile and how happy she was playing around. Her eyes sparkled with joy and her laughter just made me feel warm inside.

"You good over there James? You look a bit pink." she said checking on me.

"Oh yeah." I said flustered. "It's just that you have a pretty laugh." Jaiden awkwardly smiled and blushed. "Thanks James." she said shyly.

I went to grab another chair for her. We were going to play Mario Maker 2.  "You know you shouldn't play video games with Floof in your arms. You'll get distracted and not play as good."

"Is that why your not good at Mario Maker?" she asked getting up.

"I am the BEST at Mario Maker and I'll prove it. Let's do a test run and then we can record."

Jaiden sat close next to me to see me play. She leaned on me and rested her head on my shoulder. I felt like I was heating up quickly so I tried to focus on the game. The test run went well and we started. It was a fun time with screaming, joking, and awesome skills from me.

When we finished she got back down to pet Floof. "That was fun right?" I asked.

"Yeah." she replied.

"I'm staring to think your only here for Floof. Don't you wanna spend time with me?"

"Aww don't think like that James. Your very important to me. Your one of my best friends and I think your very cute too." she said. She looked pretty embarrassed after her last sentence. I was bright red as well. I smiled thought and looked down at Floof.

"You know, Floof thinks your cute too. She really likes you." I said sitting next to her looking down.

"Well Floof should know that I like her too." she said and kissed my cheek. We were both silent for a bit after that.

"Wanna watch some YouTube?" I asked.

"Better than animating. I could use the break." she said as we moved over to the couch and she layed her head on me.
