Elemental High - Part Three

Y/N's POV

My friends all came to my house. My parents weren't home yet so we all just sat in the living room. James and Tim put on some video games. Jaiden levitated some drinks over to us. "You alright?" Jaiden asked me. "Yeah I'm fine." I told her. I wasn't actually ok. I was struggling. I couldn't stop thinking of what happened at school today. My leg, how useless I was, the fight. I was tired and sad. All my friends were laughing and playing but me, I was sad and upset.

Adam handed me a little flower. "Hey Tim and I though it would make you feel better." I blushed and smiled holding the little flower in it's pot. I loved it but it just reminded me about how I didn't have powers. I looked at James showing Jaiden his magic. "That's super cool James! Your really getting better at your water powers." James smiled and blushed.

I sighed and just went into the kitchen to get a snack. I grabbed a cup of yogurt and started eating. Jaiden walked in the kitchen and saw me. "Hey, you shouldn't be on your leg, you need to rest."

"Sorry I just needed some air." I said.

"Well we have a surprise for you! We're preforming for you." Jaiden said walking me back to the couch. Adam was using his fire powers two juggle some flame balls. Tim was using his earth powers to hold Adam in the air. James was using his water powers to make a little show around the act. Normally, this would make me smile but not today.

I tried to get up and walk away. But everyone followed me. "Y/N come back!" Jaiden yelled. I just kept walking until I was in my room. After a few hours, I heard someone knock on the door. "Y/N, can we come in?" James asked.

"James your like a brother to me but, can Adam come in?" I asked him.

"Sure, he's been worrying about you for an hours." he said sending Adam in.

"You ok?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry I ran. It's just, I feel useless around you guys. You all have amazing talents and awesome skills but I don't. I don't have what you have. Your powers are so cool and I don't have mine. I know it takes time but it's been years and nothing happened. I'm starting to think it'll never happen."

"I'm sorry we made you feel bad Y/N. Look we love you! I love you! Your not useless ok. One day you will have your powers."

"And what I don't?!"

"Who care? Your our friend. Nothing will change that." Adam said.  I hugged him closely. He was so warm and soft. I felt my face heat up a bit. Did I like Adam?

My friend's stayed overnight at my house. My parents didn't mind so we all just hung out. Jaiden fell asleep on James. I could tell James was pretty embarrassed about it. "You and Jaiden are a cute couple." I said.  "So are you and Adam he told me."

"I don't like Adam!" I told him.

"Well he likes you."

"You're messing with me."

"No. Adam likes you. It's pretty obvious. He's always worried about you, takes care of you, and he thinks your amazing."

"Really? We do you think we should hang out more?"

"I think he would like that."
