@Jade_Strider (a piece we made together a while ago)

A cop pulled me aside last night, asking where I was heading

I said no where in particular, and he found it rather odd

He wanted to check my bag but it was such a drag

I refused to give it in and he grabbed it by force

He saw the gun I kept hidden, spare money for my endless trip

But that wasn't what caught his mind, rather it was the small bag in front

I found myself pinned to his car, cuffs going to trap my hands and I realized I'd be taken back to the place I escaped

I threw my head back, hit him and grabbed my gun to shoot him in the head

And that's the first time I killed a man

And now he's forever dead

I woke up the next morning not too far from the scene

I looked all around me to make sure I wasn't seen

I got on my bike that day and began to drive

Sweetheart I killed a man and I'm blessed to be alive

Somewhere along the road I had to stop to reload

And in the wake I saw a dog

Oh what an ugly thing she was

I fed her some extra bones, washed her fur then my own

But I couldn't leave her alone, so I took her for the road

She howled at the moon with me, we sang together in harmony

Then one day she left me just as easy as the rest of me

I carried on the road, I continued my homeless journey north

My bike broke down and now I'm walking

I stopped singing now I'm talking

These words they're empty now they're useless

Just like the world, it's ruthless
