II THE SCENTS: Lycoris Mate

Chapter 3

After having such a delicious meal for this night, I paid and left the diner but on the way I could definitely hear some deep growling somewhere within the woods. I've got the feeling that I'm suddenly being watched. I hate it but the more I walked toward the shed, that growling wasn't meant for me but to some drunk men behind me.

I groaned through my mind and its pissing me off yet I have to pretend that I just ordinary human in this town. I walked faster and those men kept on tailing me and the growling, they turned out to be a roar. I stopped from my walk and looked back. Those men did the same but their heartbeats turned into frightened state. In my thoughts I was smirking but never shown onto my face and with that I just run back to my house.

"That was intriguing." I whispered to myself before stretching up since there are somethings need to be studied for tomorrow's event.

The first morning sun began to hit my skins and woke me from my short slumber on my bedroom.

"Am I too tired on reading that made me sleep here instead my study room?" I asked myself before yawning and stretching my body.

I get up to change and ready to take some morning runs. When I was all set up, I picked up my earphones and plug them into my ears before dashing to the woods. The woods was a bit foggy but not too much to the point you can see a thing anymore.

Lo-lo-love me insane

Yeah-eah, yeah-eah, yeah-eah..." I suddenly began to sing while running within the woods since it's an exercise for my lungs and cardio as well.

And you know I didn't see this coming..." I continued singing while running around the woods and making my some of my ability shown like hoping from big rocks to another without losing my balance.

I know it's a dangerous game..." I kept singing until I felt those eyes again but it was totally different from those protectiveness.

I felt like I was being a prey to their eyes. I shook the feeling and kept running in human speed but it was too late. I was being halted by wolves, literally wolves like an alaskan malamute husky sizes. I looked at them carefully but they were growling at me like they knew that I'm different. I knitted my eyebrows since I heard those words from somewhere but not with them. That voice was indeed powerful with intense authority as it echoed throughout the woods yet it has melodic and angelic tone that came from a girl. Each of them, all back down yet still releasing deep defensive growl toward me. I just pretend to looked so confused but I know what they were thinking already. I can read them like a crystal.

"What do you mean by that, Lie?"

"It's none of your concern."

"It is, if she's our future Luna."

"Just leave us."

"Just bang already!"

"LEAVE OR I'LL RIP YOU INTO PIECES?!"

They all jolted but they were laughing on pissing this huge midnight black wolf. I can tell she has an alpha genes in her system. When they left us alone, she studied me carefully but those eyes were looking at me lovingly. Then there it hits me again. Those irritating scent of dahlia flower and waterfall, really made me pissed but I need to pretend not to be affected by it at the same time, better to be a...

"Don't you dare lie to me." She warned me like she could read me as well.

"Of course I can because you're mine." She countered my thoughts that made glared at her.

"Incazzato." I mumbled that made her chuckle but her wolf was so excited about my reaction.

"Shift back." I told her since she already can tell what am I.

"I can't, I have to patrol since there's lots of fallen rogues dropping off around here." She said before sniffing the air around us.

"And please be careful. Those fallen rogues changed from the last time." She continued as she walked toward me and snuggled her snout into my neck.

I jolted to the sudden sensation that I never felt before. She sniffed my scent like she wanted to calm down for some reason.

"I know what they were capable off. You should be the one who needs to be careful around me." I told her honestly as my eyes began to show off.

"Woah, hungry for me already?" she teased me but no, I immediately pulled her head down and jumped above her.

I gripped a fallen rogue's neck and slammed it onto the ground. It was stunned a bit and before it regain its will to fight or give me some scratches, I immediately pull it closer and without any hesitation I bit it with no mercy at all. I drank from it since I was in starving now. I don't care if this wolf saw me eat my meal because I need to be filled. When the fallen one already drain and vanished as it turned into ashes, the wolf approached me like a proud mate.

"What a wonderful mate you are...but what are you?" she asked me with such fascination within her words.

"Nobody. Gotta go. I have school. See you around..." I told her as I walked way but she cut my words

"Leslie. Leslie Creed." She introduced herself all of the sudden that made me nodded then continued my walk back to my house.

When I got home, I immediately clean up myself to the bathtub and let those stinky blood all over me being washed away as well its scent. But the thing that irritates me was her. Her scent seriously killing me each time she's near me. I groaned just recalling our first meeting but there's something left in me.

"What she looks like if she's in her human form?" I asked myself while scrubbing the stinky blood over my body.
