"Perfect timing. Aleksys, this our only daughter; Leslie Marx." Verona's wife introduced her daughter to me with such excitement.

"MOM! I NEVER AGREED TO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS ONE!" Leslie shouted at her mother who just ignored her as I looked at Verona who has her poker face like Ceres.

No wonder why her and Ceres get along well.

"Aleksys, I want you to marry my daughter since she's the only one left behind. I mean, without a mate." Her wife told me as she kept ignoring the rage of her daughter.

"WHAT'S WRONG OF ME BEING MATELESS?!" Leslie asked her mother with such anger that's reaching its limit.

"You're next in line to be the Alpha and to calm you down whenever you acting like this." She finally responded to her daughter.

"I'M ACTING LIKE THIS BECAUSE OF YOUR DECISION! IT'S MY LIFE AND NOT YOURS!" Leslie kept her temper getting the best out of her.

"WATCH YOUR TONGUE YOUNG LADY." Verona's wife snapped that made me sighed.

"YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME!! IT'S MY LIFE THAT YOU'RE RUINING! JUST BECAUSE I'M MATELESS, YOU'RE GOING TO MANIPULATE MY MARRIAGE. HOW COULD YOU!" Leslie screamed everything out that made something in me hurts.

She's in pain.

"YOU SUPPOSE TO SUPPORT ME AND WATCH ME BUT NO, YOU DIDN'T INSTEAD THIS!" Leslie shouted with such rage and pain that made her mother snapped as well.

"IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD AND THE PACK!" Verona's wife countered but Leslie wasn't backing down.

"MY GOOD YOU SAY. STOP ACTING LIKE A MOTHER WHEN YOU NEVER DID!" Leslie snapped as she began to shift slowly.

"WHAT INSOLENT CHILD!" Verona's wife shouted at her daughter and attempting to hit Leslie.

Verona immediately went to her wife's back calmly to help her wife's temper subside since it was getting out of hand but Leslie was about to launch until I speak.

"Leslie." I said out loud that made her halted from almost attacking her mother.

Verona was a bit surprised on my sudden butting in within their family argument. But I have too since Leslie was about to shift and going for a kill who do wrong to her. She's indeed an alpha by nature.

"Walk with me." I told her as I hold her hand that made her gasp and glared at me.

Leslie didn't realize it was me even though she already saw my vampire side one night but not the whole side though. She never know much of that side of mine that's why she couldn't tell it was me.

Anyway, as she realized it was me, her temper began to lessen immediately.

"We're just going for a breather." I told Verona who just smiled and she mouthed thank you since both Leslie and her wife need some time to breath from those heated tension.

Leslie and I went outside their house then we went for a stroll in the woods. Leslie needs it.

"Don't you want to ask something to me?" I started to break the ice building around our stroll.

"Well, how and why you're in our house?" Leslie asked me as we somewhere within their perimeter.

"First, I was sent here by Ceres. She told me to look for your mother." I replied but not revealing too much about it.

"Did you know about the marriage arrangement?" Leslie asked me carefully like she doesn't want me to get upset or something.

"No actually. That was the first time I heard about it." I honestly replied to her as we stopped by the falls that were surrounded by Dahlia flowers.

"Honestly, I don't like what they did but I don't hate the idea of being married to my mate." Leslie replied calmly and I can feel that she's just like her mother.

"What's your mother's name? The one that your argued with." I asked as I took my seat on the grass.

"Ahh, Lexana. Lexana Creed. How could she forget to tell her name to you..." She replied but shook her head as she realized that her mother forget to introduced her name to me.

"Anyway, do you like the idea of getting married to me, professor?" Leslie asked me with such hopeful face.

"Don't call me that when I'm in this form." I countered before slightly smiling at her that made her shyly nodded.

"I don't hate the idea but let's see if I can used to your irritating scent." I said before pinching my nose and lightly pushing her away next to me.

"Hey, my scent is good. I even used perfume after shower." Leslie countered that almost made her pouted like a kid.

I giggled but immediately cut it off since I never giggled. Not especially in front of my irritation. Speaking of irritating, I stood up since her scent was indeed getting into me and it's making me dizzy then I sneezed.

"Definitely, irritating." I said while nodding and started to head back to their house.

"Where are you going?" Leslie asked as she stood up and followed me.

"Your house. I'm still not finished talking to your mother Verona." I replied that made her whined yet still tailing me. She doesn't want to deal with her mother Lexana.

"Just ignore Lexana." I chuckled that made her groaned.

"Whatever." She sighed as we both walking back to their house.

I kinda like the pissed off mood of this girl.

"I heard that." Leslie countered that made laughed.

I don't know but she can make me forget that I'm not that aged as she brought back those side of me that I locked up a long time ago.
