II THE SCENTS: Lycoris Mate

After having that explained according to what I've known and learned from Ceres, Elleah was in her deep thought like she's analyzing things. I've tried to read her and it was surprising that I can't. I smirked on how difficult my biological mother since she wasn't easy to read.

"Elleah, I mean Mom...you're indeed difficult to read like what Dad said to me." I told her that made her smiled then something flicker within her mind that I saw a memory of my father. They were indeed happy especially when she gave birth to me.

"Aleksys Mionette, that's the name your father and I came up with so why change them?" Elleah asked that made me sighed and stood up from my seat so I could show something to her.

"Hard to explain but let me show you some figment of it." I told her before putting my hands on both sides of her head.

Within just flicked, every memory that I wanted to show her began to flash like a fast forward movie. There I show her, my last memory of her that we're both riding a horse then playing a melody on the piano. There is also a memory of her arguing with my grandfather then leaving me with tears in her eyes. And there's also the thing I never forget on how my father cried and almost killed his father from forcing my mother to leave our castle. I supposed to be crying but something in me wanted to bring happiness back to my father and I did. I sing, play instruments, learn how to dance gracefully and just have fun.

But a tragic night fall into our house. Fire blazing everywhere, I saw my father died defending the house and his family but the tricky part was him - the brother of my grandfather. He took me and enslaved me that almost made me lose sight of hope left in me. Good thing Ceres and her wife saved me.

"Oh my child. I'm sorry I arrived late." Elleah said to me with such sorry tone as she cupped my face.

"What do you mean?" I asked confusedly.

"Your father sent me a letter to get you away from danger. I came but I was too late, everything was in ash and I couldn't find you. As I cried from my lost, something happened to me that day. I began to be awakened as a shifter." She replied that made me curious onto what she shifted into.

"Shift into what?" I asked curiously that made her slightly smiled at me.

"Like you, a vampire." She replied with her motherly smile that made me think of what Frizabelle mentioned to me when she's teaching me about shifter.

If a creature has a blood of a shifter in their system or born with it, they might be a human with abnormal abilities that can't be explained but one bite from another night creature that has venom, they will be able to shift into that creature. The can be bitten and shifted into how many times but using them illy, they will die with just a single snap of a finger.

"Bitten?" I asked if my guess was right since that's what I heard.

"Yes. After I left the castle, I was being followed by some rogue then I fought it and it bit me. Both of us trying to survive but I won't back down and kill it. Even though I was being bitten, nothing seems to change in me aside from adrenaline rush in my veins then I received a letter. Yes, that's your father's and you know what happened next." Elleah answered with broken relief since she felt sorry for not coming their in time.

"Did you ever -" I tried to ask something but she cut me off and give an answer.

"I did search for you but no trace at all like everything was being erased or covered up. I was about to give up and end my life but Anya Redson, my mate found me. She helped me search for you and she did. She's the one giving me information about you." Elleah answered and explained to me what had happened to search.
