II THE SCENTS: Lycoris Mate

Chapter 1

It's been years since I've been saved from that dark place and it's still engraved under my skin that I couldn't resist to face anymore. I decided to face them as I'm undergoing to my transition under the guidance of my savior Ceres and my mentor Avery. They taught me how to control my blood thirst or the will to kill senselessly and along the way, those nightmares keep on haunting me but no more. After those painful transition, in some distant memory of my dreams, I heard some voices of a little girl. It was crying and pleading to be found then vanished like it was just a simple dream. But after some years, there it goes again. It was the same voice but matured like it's a teenager and it pleaded for me to come and be her rescue. Yet, again, it vanished. As of years of being alive, it disturbed me once again but this time it's not stopping from calling me. It might irritate me from some times but my guts tell me to deal with it.

'Come and find me.'

"Wake up you lazy vampire." a very familiar and annoying voice of my senior and mentor named Avery woke me up from being half asleep.

I just groaned and covered my face with my comforter. But as I felt her wickedness, I shivered then glared at her.

"She's here isn't it?" I asked as I groaned like a little irritated kid.

"If you already know, wake up or she'll be the one who will do it." Avery seriously warned me.

"Fine..." I sighed since I don't want that irritating retired Luna bragged in my room.

Avery chuckled before leaving my room. I sighed and immediately fixed up before heading down stairs. As I reached the dining room, I heard some laughter but it immediately faded when a familiar growl shut them up.

"So, only your wife can shut you up, Ceres." I greeted as I entered the dining room.

"Indeed, she is." Ceres replied as she kissed her mate, Frizabelle hands.

"As if you're so gentle -" I began to tease her but someone finishes it for me.

"She's irritating mate." Frizabelle finished for me before eating her food.

"So any business here?" I asked since they visit us whenever there were some tasks to deal with.

"As a matter of fact, yes and it's for you alone." Frizabelle answered as I took a seat next to Avery and her mate.

"Why me?" I asked them.

"I referred you since you're good hunter and tracker." Avery answered my question.

"That's why we came here in person if you really fit and your mentor was right. You were indeed perfect for the mission." Ceres cleared as she looked so intense to me.

I don't know why I felt like she knew what will happen to me to that mission.

"And your task is to look for the Royal Blood Luna at the Creedenson town and negotiate on letting a vampire like you stayed in their town." Frizabelle continued as she lend me a file with red dot at the center that made me seriously confused all of the sudden.

"Seriously red dot?" I asked as i noticed the dot.

"Classified and its only for you." Frizabelle replied with a knowing smile that made me sighed before getting to business.

"Why do I have to negotiate with that?" I confusedly ask them since I seriously don't get why it has to be me.

"Have you ever thought why we came here in person just to meet and see if you were indeed fit like what your mentor told us? You're once a fallen and always be a vampire but there's something missing inside of you. Something that your guts telling you to face it. I know you know what I'm talking about. Agree with the task and you will see what I really meant." Ceres asked as she explained something that really hit my chest.

'Come and find me.'

Those words suddenly came flashing inside my mind that made me look at Ceres and she was smirking. I shook my head since I can't believe that I have to admit that she was right. I have to deal with it. Something in that task might answered something that bothering me since I came back to my senses.

"Fine, but you must pay the car you wreck three years ago." I smirked since she really doesn't want to waste some money to some expensive car that I love.

"Consider it done. Go to Creedenson tonight and by the next day, you will receive your car." Ceres immediately replies to me and I didn't expect her to agreed with my terms.

"You really want me to go there huh." I sighed as I shook my head in disbelief.

"The sooner, the better." Frizabelle chuckled as went to me before kissing my forehead and walked to the backyard followed by her wife Ceres.

Those two really surprises me to whatever task they could think of but, everything happens for a reason and they knew them.

So now, I am on my way to the Creedenson town to deal with the task that was given to me and for me to find some answers to the disturbing dreams that I'm having.
