II THE SCENTS: Lycoris Mate

Chapter 28

It's been a week passed since Leslie left the pack for her Alpha training, Verona urges me to go back on teaching just to get away from the boring household chores that her wife giving me. So here I am again, teaching music and arts to the new faces in the school. I kept my same routine like I did before, like teaching them according to my experience and let their mind do the thinking. To be honest its more fun than being forced to do some boring cleaning duty in the pack house. I'm a chameleon hunter and not a servant. The whole day at school immediately passed, I went back to the teachers' lounge and their I saw another letter with the same royal seal.

Dear Jade,

How's your week without me bothering you? Well, I hope you still have some good time and I'll be seeing you at the aisle when I come back home.

After reading it, I don't know why my heart felt so warm and smiling like a love struck teenagers but I sighed as I realized it then went back to the pack by foot.

"Now I realized, her letter now was indeed short." I mumbled to myself until I felt someone was watching me and I smiled. I know who it was but something was a bit off on its aura.

I went back on my trail and immediately check on Verona since she told me to come straight to her everyday after school. As I went to the pack, I noticed that the whole pack was indeed empty like it was a ghost town.

"Okay, this is a bit weird." I whispered and let my senses gone over the top and released my malice so that no one would dare to get inside here. I have to search for some answers.

I checked all the house and they were indeed empty. I went to the pack house and it was dark like the others, but something I didn't see it coming to me in such a big wave.

'Take my hand.'

There was indeed beautiful lights around the garden and everyone in the pack was here smiling at me like they were welcoming me. But that voice really took my attention ahead and run to her, my mate standing still.

"You stupid mate." I thought while smiling and putting my arms around her neck.

"Miss me?" Leslie asked as while grinning like an idiot that made pinched her nose.

"How could I not even your still irritating as hell." I countered as her and kissed her lips. Gosh, I miss it a lot.

Then somebody coughed and made me looked then I noticed the clothing. I looked at Leslie then she smiled at me before whispering into my ears.

"I told you, I'll be waiting at the aisle to marry you." Leslie told me as my heart began to beat so hard but I nodded.

I might not sure what's happening right now but the ceremony of our marriage come and go just like a wind under our nose but it did happened. Now, I am married to my student and don't get me started on how our night will be.

"So professor, I mean, Jade, shall we finally make everything right." Leslie invited while sitting on her bed that made me shook my head.

"Turn me on then." I challenged that made her kissed me like she never kissed me before.

This will be a long night - I mean, through our whole life.

Maybe...just hers.

I still could remember the time we made love after our marriage and there were times I'm still hit by her really so hard. Well, I'm stupid that's what is it.

"Mom!" I turned around when I heard the same voice like she has that made me smile since the little squirt was indeed my kid.

"Easy there tiger. Why you're looking for me?" I asked the 10 years old kid in my arms.

"Well, why didn't you tell me that you're gonna visit Mommy. You're so meanie!" Guilyana said to me with her cute pouty lips that I can't help but laughed and kissed her forehead.

"Hey, I just want to have some alone time with her. She still my wife." I told her as I put her down on the ground.

"Whatever!" She said that really making my heart felt so warm and she walked passed at me.

Yeah, she's definitely like her.

But since the title was being passed down to me, a sudden rush always reminding me about that time. Same time that I've always dreamed of and there, she told me that she wanted some rest and wanting for me to take care of our little kid while she was resting. At first, I didn't get what she was telling me but somewhere within my heart knows what it really meant. I cried since who doesn't but whenever I looked at Guilyana, she was with us. Always like an engraved memories under my skin yet something in me also telling that she's coming back.

"My beautiful Lycoris. My Jade and wife...I know you're here with us. Watch and protect us like you always do." I whispered to the wind while I watched Guilyana talked to her grave.

I smiled as the sunlight hit Jade's grave, I saw her laughing along with her daughter.

"I think Guilyana can see some unseen things." I said to no one but when I saw Jade's spirit looked at me, I felt it again.

'Indeed she can. Watch her carefully, my dear mate.'

I smiled lovingly while Guilyana stood up and twirled like a ballerina that made nodded. But when Guilyana stopped, a tear fell out from my left eye.

'Always love you.'

"I love you more." I whispered then Guilyana suddenly jumped onto me.

"Mommy said that don't make you worry if I don't want to deal with your temperament issue." Guilyana said that made me laugh.

"Indeed. Let's go now, I bet grandma make your favorite." I told my child and began hopping like a bunny.

Our love story might smooth, weird or ended up so quickly but real love that we shared as we choose to do so, making every piece of it for eternal.

I'm the Lycoris Mate that's why I can tell our love falls for eternity. I believe on it like she taught me.
