Erratic: Chapter 11: Shock

Well as expected, Chase ignored me, or should I say that I ignored him? Hmmm…maybe it’s a mix of both. However, what shocked me is that Beau started ignoring me. I don’t know why but he just did. When I try talking to me he would turn around and walk off away from me. Whenever he would come and get Lilliane, Bree and Kandice so that he could drop them off he would just brush me off as if I wasn’t there.

I asked the girls if they could ask Beau why he’s ignoring me but he just said that it was nothing and that he isn’t ignoring me.

Who are you trying to fool Beau? It’s so freaking obvious that you are ignoring me so don’t lie.

Enough about Chase and Beau and let’s get onto Kendra. Well she’s been bitchier lately probably because of what Chase did the last time we fought. Another surprising thing, Kendra’s being a bitch to other people neither than me. Real shocker right there. KLIMB actually saw her bullying Bella, a girl from the yearbook team, and we managed to fight her and make her stop bullying Bella. Kendra was so mad though, once she realized that she won’t be winning the fight, she stomped her foot and marched away groaning at us.

My family’s been great. The accident really did bring us closer; well it’s more like it brought my parents closer because my brothers and I are already pretty close. Before the accident, my Mum and my Dad would fight about the littlest things in life like, who left the lights opened or who didn’t clean the table that had the smallest speck of mess that I have ever seen, now, they’re tolerable with one another, whenever one of them makes a mistake, one of them would try and understand the other. I finally won’t have to see my Mum cry because one of the little fights that they have would often lead to a big one and it ends up with my Dad telling my Mum some pretty mean things and my Mum crying, you see my Dad’s words hurt a lot, he might not be hurting us physically but his words are enough to make us feel pain that is much worse than a slap on face or something like that.

My anxiety/panic attacks is getting much worse though. I would often drown in negative thoughts whenever I’m alone. Sometimes I would feel like every time I would take a breath, it would feel like it’s suffocating me. Sometimes my brain would just picture the worst possible outcome of something.

The only thing that calms me down during those times is the sound of water flowing or waves crashing. I don’t know why I find them calming but it helps. It also helps with stress. Once, I was just so stressed with exams and getting a good grade that I couldn’t bring myself to sleep so I tried listening to water flowing and it immediately soothed me and lulled me into my sleep.

“Hi Bree, Kandice, Lilliane, Theo, Jane and Samantha. Bree, Lilliane and Kandice, I might be a little late afterschool, I think for about 10-20 minutes late? If you girls want I could ask one of the guys to drive you home?” Beau stated snapping me out of my thoughts. I see that he’s still ignoring me. When did he arrive anyway?

“Oh it’s alright, we could just wait for you. I mean your drop us off to our houses without asking for any credits, a little thing like waiting for you isn’t going to bother us.” Lilliane said.

“Oh, we’re friends anyway, I don’t need to ask for any credits. Anyway, I’ll see you girls later?” Beau spoke.

“Yeah, See you!” The other girls waved goodbye and Beau nodded at them as his goodbye.

During this whole conversation I was just staring off to somewhere, I mean I’m clearly ignored and treated as if I wasn’t there. Oh, by the way, you know my favourite game? I’ve been playing it quite a lot actually; it’s a multiplayer game too. Want to know what it is? It’s the Ignore-One-Another game. I’m playing it with Chase and Beau, it’s a frustrating game and it makes you want to pull your hair out.

“Why is he acting that way anyway?” Theo sighed.

“Huh?” I asked, confused.

“Beau. Why is he ignoring you?” Theo explained. Oh.

I shrugged and pulled an I-have-no-idea face.

“I just don’t get why he suddenly did that though.” Samantha thought.

“Same here.” I agreed.

“He did say that he isn’t ignoring Macy and that it was ‘nothing’.” Kandice frowned.

“That’s just bullshit.” Lilliane and I said.

“Yeah.” The other girls agreed.

“Does anyone know someone who reads people’s mind? Maybe they could help us.” Jane said.

“If only there is…” I muttered as my eyes scanned around the school.

I then noticed a person who looks so familiar... Brooke. I stood up and ran towards the girl leaving the girls who were looking bewildered at me running towards Brooke.

"Brooke!" I exclaimed and then hugged her, "I missed you so much!”

"I missed you too."

Brooke is Macky's best friend, she's really nice and I really like her because we share the same interests. I always ship her and my brother and they always go red whenever I tease them about being with each other.

"I haven't seen you in so long!! Where have you been? You going to see my bro later? Come over my house we have a lot of catching up to do." I rambled on.

"Oh, I always see your brother." What? How come I don't? He's been keeping her onto himself!?! NOT FAIR! "Also, I'll be coming over your house later for dinner, maybe we could catch up after dinner." YAYYY!

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Oh I just wanted to visit my old school and see my friends." Brooke said.

"Oh, then don't let me interrupt you from being with your friends, we have the time to ourselves later anyway." I beamed at her.

"Okay, I'll just see the boys" Brooke said. Oh, so she's close to Chase, Beau and all that? I never even knew. Maybe it was because she used to go here before she graduated. Brooke walked away with her brown hair shinning brightly against the sun.

||CHASE||

She knows her? Macy knows Brooke? Brooke, the person that I love? How? I stared at Brooke and I got completely captivated by her beauty, the girl that has amazing green eyes that you could get lost in and brown hair that looks so soft and a smile that could make you smile even in your darkest days. The girl that holds my heart is here, I don't know why but she's here.

Brooke walked over towards me and messed up my hair.

"Hey Mr. Alberg." She giggled. That melodic giggle. Who wouldn't fall for that?

She then moved on to greet the other boys while I stare at her in pure admiration and utter shock.
