Kopa POV
I woke slowly. My eyes parted. I began to see what was in front of me were a pair of odd looking lions.
"Are Okay little one" said the male.
"My head hurts"
"You have minor head trauma you will be fine in a couple days" said the female.
"Who are you and where am I".
"Well my name is Sahasi" said the male.
"And my name is Ananda and you are the tree of life what's your name little guy".
"Kopa, I have to get home my parents must be worried about me". I tried to stand. My head spun and I fell down.
"Kopa you are going anywhere until you are healed" said Sahasi.
"Do you remember what happen to end up being injured" said Ananda.
"I was in a cave near our home when her mother came in, told her to leave, then attacked me".
"Really" said Sahasi.
"Where was your mother, your father"
"Well it was the day after my sister was born and she was to be presented to the kingdom. My father is the king".
"Oh so you are a prince" said Sahasi.
"Yeah, what is the tree of life".
"It's the place where all the environment meet, where animals live in peace" said Ananda.
"I bet it is a wonderful place but I want to get home when I am well".
"Where do you live".
"The Pridelands".
"Ah that is quite the distance away from here and you were unconscious when you got here" said Sahasi.
"Do you guys know how to get there".
"No but the servals who brought you migh" said Ananda.
"Where do I find them".
"Well they travel a lot so we don't really know" said Ananda.
"Okay I will go alone".
"No no you can't go alone" said Ananda.
"Why" I said annoyed.
"Excuse Ananda, her mother instinct has been quite strong this week she means you are just a cub" said Sahasi.
"I will be fine and no offense I don't want to stay here, the prides are my home".
"How is our new guest" said an older lioness. Following her were two younger lions one male and one female. They were teenagers.
"He is doing fine, Kopa this is Queen Janna and that is my little brother Surak and our healer in training Nirmala" said Sahasi.
"Hello little one" said Nirmala.
"Your majesty you would know how to get to the pridelands".
"I'm sorry son I am afraid not but the serval who brought you should".
"Ugh where do I find them".
"Surak you know those two don't you".
The male lion spoke.
"Yeah Ishi and Mira sure I can tell you where to find them once you are better" he said.
"Okay".
"You must have patience Kopa" said Ananda.
"Of course he should but he clearly misses his parents and after being attacked he could be scared" said Janna.
"I have a friend there too that I want to see".
"Ah a friend you say" teases Sahasi.
I blushed a little.
"Well yeah..."
They laughed. All but Sahasi and Ananda left.
"I don't know why this happened to me" I said.
"Well kid I always say everything happens for a reason" said Sahasi.
"Well it still makes me angry".
"Easy kid that attack has messed with your brain a bit, you seem to be suffering from the rage of the elders".
"What is that"
"Well it causes certain lions to be more prone to agression but makes fighting a breeze if you learn to control it".
"And what if I don't".
"Then it is a curse, you lash out and murder people you love. Don't worry I am sure in due time you will master it".
"I hope so I don't want to kill my friends" Suddenly a severe pain went through my back left leg.
"Ouch" I said.
"Your leg is damaged, the pain will fade but you may have a slight limp. It may not even be noticeable. Your scars will fade as well because they aren't very deep". I looked at my reflection in the water. I had scars all around my body and face. I began to think about the stage that I posses.
"Has anyone ever had it before Sahasi".
"Well the only one I can think of is Mufasa, he was one to control it".
"My grandfather had the rage and mastered it well I bet I can to"
"That's the spirit Kopa" said Ananda.
"Another thing Kopa Isbi and Mira are tricksters" said Sahasi
"What do you mean".
"He means that they like to play tricks on people some of their tricks are very rude" said Ananda.
"If I want to get home then I have to".
"Well Kopa you should try and get some rest it will help the injury".
"Okay see you guys tomorrow".
I closed my eyes and went to sleep.
