Meant For Each Other

Kopa POV
I stayed with Vitani and her guard for most of the day. There wasn't much problems in the pridelands besides animals disappearing.
"Okay miss you are going to have to calm down" said Vitani. The guard and I were standing next to a very hyper female ostrich.
"My poor Randi is gone".
"We know ma'am and we will try and find him but for now you must remain calm".
"Calm, it will be hard but I will try".
After calming the ostrich we head back to pride rock.
"That's third missing animal today what do you think Vitani" I said.
"I'm not sure but it is alarming".
"Who would take animals from all around" said Kasi.
"Calm down we don't know that each of them could have gotten lost or something and could get home" said Vitani. We got back to the lair at about dark.
"Well I am going to get some sleep for tomorrow" Said Imara.
"Yeah me two" said the rest.
"Alright see you guys" said Vitani.
I sat down at the edge of a cliff near by. I had a bunch of thoughts going through my head and I needed to clear them. Vitani followed me. She sat down next to me.
"You seem a little slower moving than when you were young".
I chuckled.
"I can still out run you".
She smirked.
"Is that a challenge" she said.
"I guess it is" I teased.
"Well come on then let's go". I stood up and prepared to race. We did this alot as kids.
"To that yonder tree" said Vitani.
"The usual spot" I said. At the count of three we took off. I gained the lead first only outrunning her by a hair then she gained more speed and passed me. I began to feel my legs staring to give out. I tried my hardest to keep going and not to give in. I couldn't hold it anymore and I crashed and burned near the tree. Vitani made it first.
"Looks like I..." she noticed me fall "Kopa" she came over.
"Are you okay".
"Yeah just tripped on a rock".
She laughed.
"You know you were always a clumsy one".
"Hah sure what ever you say".
"Come on I want to show you something". I followed her, she lead me too waterfall which dumped into a small pond. It was Hakuna Matata Falls.
"This place hasn't changed"
"I know that's why I like to come here, it reminds me of you".
"And why is that" I teased.
She stammered It was one of the few places we go to just relax. I figured if I was here I would come I would relax".
"I seem to remember you disliking this place when we were young" I teased.
She laughed.
"Only because it use to make me uncomfortable but now not so much". Vitani and I talked for the rest of the night catching up on each others lives. I talked all my knowledge of survival, battle, and plenty more. We seemed to be getting back to where we were originally but one a few weeks later Vitani started backslide denying any feelings she had for me. It was really starting to upset me. She was making these tease and then ripping them away
Today the guard and I where out again patrolling. Vitani called and we went to Hakuna Matata Falls. I was going to tall to her about it today.
"You know your brother used to come here to with his guard" I didn't respond I just looked down.
"Kopa are you alright". I looked Vitani in the eyes.
"Vitani what are your true feelings towards me".
She hesitated.
"Well I..."
"Because you are doing all these things that express how much you love me but then you pull back and deny those feelings".
"I don't know Kopa I still haven't decided".
"Vitani I have seen the way you feel about me, why do you not act on that".
"You wouldn't understand".
"If you think it would get in the way of being a guard member then you're wrong it won't get in the way".
"Yes it will Kopa if I am distracted by you then I can't be my best as a guard member. You are acting selfish Kopa".
"Well when I am not here you seem to act like Zira".
"Don't compare me to her".
"It's true Vitani you are mopping around being snarky with everyone. That's exactly how Zira acted. You are overfilling yourself with burdens because you think if you don then someone will die".
"Stop Kopa I am not Zira I can't believe you would even say that".
"Look Vitani I love you to much for choice to tear you apart, so I will make it for you. Don't worry about me Vitani just stick with the guard". I stormed off angry enough to activate the roar but I would hold it back.

Vitani POV
I can't believ Kopa would say that forget him I am just fine without him. I don't need no one. I don't... I looked down at my reflection in the pond and Zira's reflection appeared. I growled and whipped it away. I law down with my head on my feet. Suddenly I heard Kovu.
"Are you Okay Vitani".
"Yes" I grumbled.
"What's wrong you only act like that when you are upset".
"I'm fine".
"Vitani".
I sighed.
"Kopa told me I was acting like Zira and he was right I have been. Now I am caught in a decision to be with him or be the lion guard leader".
"Why can't you be both".
"Because one would distract the other".
He laughed.
"Vitani Kion is in love Rani but he doesn't let that get between him and being king of the tree of life. What about Simba and Nala they are king and queen".
The realization just hit me why hadn't I seen this before.
"You are right I just have to learn to balance out the two".
"Yeah you could even put him on the guard, he is very intelligent. Kion made Ono the smartest of the guard why don't you bestow that to him."
"Thanks Kovu" I ran off to find Kopa.

Kopa POV
I went to the edge of the pridelands and looked up.
"I thought you said everything happens for a reason Sahasi. What's the reason for Vitani to be so indecisive. Why has my life turned to this. Maybe it was best if I just stayed gone then things wouldn't happen like this". I went to leave the pridelands when I heard someone calling my name.
"Kopa". I turned to see Vitani running up to me.
"Vitani is everything okay".
"Yes but a sudden realization just hit me. You were right Kopa I can do both I was to blinded by fear that I couldn't see that".
"What are you afraid of Vitani"
"I haven't loved anyone the way I do you since well you and I didn't know if we were still compatible with each other".
I moved closer too Vitani.
"Vitani there isn't anything to fear because we are meant for each other".
>The wind begins to blow steadily and peacefully. Kopa and Vitani began singing to each other about how they are meant for each other. This song will be like Of The Same Pride(Again sorry I am bad at song writing so these lines are apart of the song but won't rhyme think of themas placeholders)
"We are meant for each other, there are so many reasons to fall for each other" sang Kopa.
"Since we were young we are always so close to one another. Do things the other loved to do" he continued.
"That's how I fell in love with you because you liked the things I did, we were always together inseparable some would say and I wouldn't have it any other way".

Vitani leaned in close to me and we nuzzled. We sat enjoying each others company for a long time that night.
