The Hot Springs

Kopa POV
I had forgotten how cold the tundra was. My feet were chilled and my nose ran. My whole body shivered and ached due to the cold. The cold isn't good on my damaged nerves. I kept walking through the pine forest filled with snow. The local animals gazed at me in awe. It isn't everyday they see lions in the tundra.
"You lost traveler" said a snow fox.
"I am trying to find the hot springs".
"There in a mountain range just over those hills".
"Thank you" I said.
I continued to walk up the hill. Once at the top I could see the mountain range but it was still a ways away. I decided to hurry and get there so I wouldn't freeze to death. The pine forest was very beautiful this time of night especially with the green and red lights in the stary sky. Vitani would loves this, she was always a fan of the beauty in the world. All the thinking and not paying attention caused me to run into a tree. I fell down a snowy cliff slowly being wrapped in a ball of snow. I was now completely incased in snow. I could barely see out of the ball. Finally after what felt like an eternity of being stuck in a ball of snow it crashed into another tree. Now that the ball was broken I was completely covered in snow, unable to move or get free.
"Help" I began to yell "I am stuck under this snow someone help".
I don't know if anyone could here me but I kept trying. I called for help for nearly and hour before I drifted off into sleep.

"Hey Kopa wake up or you are going to be late for Kiara's ceremony" said Vitani.
I looked around my den and my parents weren't there why hadn't they waken me.
"Right why didn't my parents wake me".
"I don't know but come on". We ran over to the top of pride rock where my mom lay with Kiara in between her front legs.
"Hello mom".
"Hello Kopa I see you are finally awake".
"Yeah sorry about that I didn't mean to sleep so late".
"No problem hey will you and your sister go and find your father for me".
"Yeah sure but isn't Kiara supposed to stay here for her ceremony".
"Not Kiara silly your other sister, Vitani".
What this wasn't right Vitani isn't my sister.
"Come on Kopa let's go find dad".
"Uh okay" I followed Vitani.
"So Vitani how is Kovu".
"Who is Kovu Kopa you are acting weird today".
"Oh sorry I ment Zazu" I said taking in that she doesn't know Kovu when at this time she would.
"Um he is fine why don't think about pranking him again Ibl won't bail you out this time".
"No just want to see how he was doing".
"Okay dad should be just up here I think". Now that I realize it that didn't look like my mother Nala it looked like another lions I saw in... We turned the corner to see Karus staring out at the pridelands. He turned to face us.
"Ah there you are my little son and daughter". Woah what Karus isn't my dad.
"Hey dad mom want us to find you Kiara's ceremony is about to start" said Vitani.
"What's going on here" I said to myself
"What son" said Karus.
"Karus you aren't my dad and Vitani you aren't my sister that lioness wasn't my mom."
"What are you talking about son"
"This isn't how it went Vitani and I were supposed to go spend time together when Zira attacked why is everything different. Have I been gone so long that I can't remember certain things, why did this happen in the first place but as Sahasi said everything happens for a reason".

Suddenly I opened my eyes. I was still under the snow. No I wasn't giving up now.
"Help" I called. With the little room I had I began to wiggle my paws around enough to try and dig my way out.
"Hello is someone under there" said a voice.
"Yes I am stuck under here can you get me out please".
"Yes hang on a second". I began to hear loud digging from multiple sides. Suddenly light shined in. I was able to jump out of the snow so I did. Once I was out I looked around at the people that saved me but there was no one there or even a trace that someone had been there.
"Okay that's weird". I continued on down the path that lead into a cave. I entered the cave. The cave wasn't dark surprisingly. There was a bright light at the end and it was much warmer the outside. Had I made it. I began to run to the light. It got closer and closer until all alI saw was light. Suddenly my vision cleared and I could see two wolves standing guard.
"Who are you traveler" said one.
"I am Kopa I passing through and was told to stop here and rest by Karus".
They looked at each other.
"Follow us" they began leading me through the hot springs. Warmth that my body was deprived of for the past few hours had returned. There were hundreds of warm pools all around the cavern filled with animals. The wolves lead me to a large opening in the back.
"Head through there" they said.
I entered remaining cautious.
"So you are the one my wolves talked about, you know Karus" said a loud voice. I turned to see a fat polar bear sitting in the back.
"Yes I am traveling just through the tundra to get to the prides, he told me he knew someone her that would allow me to stay".
He laughed
"Usually to get in here you would have to encounter the ghost bear of the mountains but with his recommendation it is fine, I am Rogus king of the hot spring".
"Well awhile ago I was trapped under some snow and someone dug me out but when I got up nobody was there".
"Ah that be him alright now kid you say you trying to get home where is that exactly".
"The pridelands"
"Ah so you are little Kopa, aren't you supposed to be dead".
"Yeah I get that alot".
"And you have grown, your dad would be proud to see his grown to be a fine young lion but you said you were trapped in snow. No doubt falling down hill correct".
"Yeah" I stammered.
"The tundra is very large it will take some time to traverse to the pridelands not taking in affect the daily snowstorms. It may be a very long time until you get home and you need go learn some cold temperature survival skills and I will show you".
