- This man is my husband, my partner, the man of my dreams, the father of our five children and our three cats. Our love is real. It's genuine. It's organic. Those close to me know I can be a lot to put up with - unfortunately to Alex, he has no idea what he was getting into when we first became friends and ultimately married. Whether I am giving him the cold shoulder, acting irrational, or giving him the silent treatment for three days - he is always the balance in our relationship and does what he can to ensure our relationship is solidified, even though all the silly arguments we have. We keep each other balanced. I am the sentimental one, he is the hard rock. I am the crazy, he is the time. When I need a light me up, he brings me the flashlight. When I need a dime, he brings me a check. When I need a friend, he is right there. I would say he is the Robin to my Batman, but he is not. I could say he is the Luigi to my Mario, but he is not that either. Instead Alex is the Shania to my Twain. He is the Taylor to my Swift. He is the Carrie to my Underwood. Without each other, they wouldn't be one. They wouldn't be complete. They wouldn't exist. And that's exactly how my life would be without Alex. He is my yellow brick road. I love you, Alex.
