The Light Inside the Darkness

Chapter Three

How did I get to this strange and unfamiliar place because I swear the last thing I remember is falling asleep reading Haven Break. Suddenly I look around this giant bed to find the book but to no avail. I began to look around the room that I am currently found myself in is nothing like the simple room I have at my house because this room is huge it's like its an apartment all on its own. The bed was queen size princess canopy bed with light see-through sky blue sheets with the same colored sheets along with a big white fuzzy blanket that covered the whole giant bed. There's a whole living room vibe going through the room because there are two couches one in the center of the room with a few other chairs surrounding the couch and the other one is under on of the windows in the room. All the furniture has an old victorian style to them as well as the rest of the room. There's a fireplace in front of the couch that is in the center of the room. And there is even another open door in this room that leads to an incredibly large bathroom with a giant tub that is so big you could probably swim in if you wanted to.

I walked back into the room after I finished looking around at the bathroom and walked up to the desk with a huge vanity mirror on it with all kinds of makeup as well as so many different kinds of hair accessories that I have ever seen. When I looked into the mirror I did not see my face but someone else face started back at me. My hair changed from normal dark brown hair into an exotic light blue hair with purple tips. And my eyes are no longer their gray hazel eyes instead they are now a vibrate deep blue that is like the vast ocean. My usual tan skin from doing all those sports I did in school to now be a creamy white skin that doesn't even have the slightest tan insight. Even my face structures are sharper then my usual rounder my face use to be. I now look like I could be a famous model now instead of one of those pretty sports girls that are really into sports. What could have possibly happened to me? And how did I get here?

Just as I thought that the door suddenly burst open and I would recognize from anywhere although I don't understand how she could be here let alone be real. It was none other than the main character of the story I was reading right before I was brought to this strange place. For she is none other than Penelope Knight the woman that Duke Daniel is supposed to fall in love with because of her immense beauty and wonderful personality. She looked almost identical to my new appearance the only difference I can see is that her eyes don't appear to look as deep blue as my own and she  has a few flecks of green in her blue eyes that I don't have.

She came running over towards me jumping into my arms nearly causing me to fall over "Sister I'm so glad you are awake." I felt shock echo throughout my brain as she said, sister but almost as if the shock put everything together and I finally realized who I am as my mind started creating every memory the person who I am now became came flooding towards my mind. I am Amaryllis Knight the older twin sister by a measly two minutes of Penelope Knight the main character in the book. Although in the book she didn't have a sister let alone an identical twin sister. So how could this happen? But yet I have all these memories that shouldn't be possible.

I patted her in a very natural way like I have been doing this all my life "It's alright dear sister. But you should know better than to come charging into someone else's room without announcing your presence and waiting for permission before entering." She smiled very playfully "Oops I forgot," she stated very cutely before shrugging. I sighed because she has always been a very carefree and playfully person which just allows her to be such a cute person. I smiled at her "Yeah I know you've been doing that a lot lately." She giggled "Don't be such a worry wort, Amaryllis. It's okay because it is only us and I only do it to you." I began ruffling her hair that was already slightly messed up due to bed head since she is still in her nightgown just like I am.

"So did you come here for any special reason or just to cause trouble again?" She began pouting "I don't cause trouble." I chuckled "Okay I'll pretend that I believe you." She frowned and rolled her eyes before joining in on my laughter since she knows that I am just teasing her even though she doesn't like it. Once we both finally stopped laughing she finally began to speak once again "I was wondering if you wanted to go out to town with me to get a some new dresses since we will soon be holding our coming of age party? Father gave me permission to take the carriage and go to our favorite dress shop to get whatever dresses we want or even get them to design us a new dress." My sister has always been really into the new and hottest fashion trend so she's always going shopping whenever she gets the chance and our father loves to give us whatever we want no matter what so he loves to let her shop to her hearts content besides it's not like he has any money issues which is nice. I smiled at her "Sure why not."She smiled "Okay great we will be leaving in an hour so go ahead and start getting ready to leave and we will even go to your favorite cafe and get food there." I smiled "Okay but you should leave now so you can get ready as well." She nodded "I will."
