The Light Inside the Darkness

Chapter Eleven

All the party plans are finally coming somewhere now that my plans are in the hands of the professionals and now they are working on so for a few days I don't have to anyone about it now all I have to worry about is checking up on everything in a few days. I looked at the day and I sigh as I am sitting up in my bed a little bit earlier than I normally start waking up so I get up and walk over to my closet as I began to look through it until I find the dress I want to wear today. I hang the dress in the closet and looked at it and even though it's an all-black dress that the material is mostly of velvet except for the center and the frill that separates the two types of the fabric of the dress which is of shiny black material. And the frill starts at the middle of the back to the end of the front of the dress in two different lines on each side of the dress to show off the shiny black material and the sleeves also have that same frill to section off the part of the sleeve that is made of more fabric to make it flows so when you move your hand it follows closely behind instead of clinging to your body like the rest of the sleeves and with a pair of black shiny gloves that end at my wrist with lace on the end (picture of dress up top).

I was still staring at the dress when Everline knocked on the door and I tell her to come in just like I always do and when she entered the room and when she noticed that I was up and standing by my closet I could tell that she was quite surprised by the expression on her face. "Good morning miss. How did you sleep?" I smiled slightly "Good morning to you as well, Everline. And I slept just well thank you for asking." She walked over towards and I took a seat at the vanity mirror and picked up the brushing my soft straight long blue hair with purple tips but after two strokes Everline came over and gently took the brush from my hands and began brushing it herself. "Would you like to take a bath this morning?" I shook my head "No that is quite alright I took one last night." She nodded her head "Alright. Did you brush your teeth already?" I shook my head "No I did not but I will after you finish with my hair and before you do my makeup."

She nodded her head "Is there a certain way you would like me to put your hair today?" I nodded "I would like you to make my hair into a braided crown with some of it down as well." She nodded "Alright I can do that for you." I watched as she began braiding my hair around my head to make it look like I am wearing a crown around my head and right as she was halfway down I said: "Oh and I want to wear that dress that is currently hanging up on the wardrobe." She looked at the dress and looked surprised as she gasped "Why would you want to wear such a thing that is meant for mourning purposes?" I looked down at my hands that are currently laying on my lap clutching one another "Well today is the anniversary of the death of one of my friend's mother so I am going to visit them today so that they don't have to be alone today of all days. And it would be inappropriate of me to show up in a dress of color when knowing of such an event." She sighed "Alright I understand. And that is very kind of you to do that but don't you have more important things to worry about with your coming of age ball coming up?" I met her eyes in the mirror "Don't worry everything is currently taken care of it besides I don't have to check up on them for a few more days. And besides, I have already gotten permission from father to do this in the first place." She sighed "Alright. Now that I'm done go brush your teeth so we can finish getting you ready." I nodded as I got up and walked to the bathroom to brush my teeth before walking back into my room so that Everline could start on my makeup as well as help me change into that dress.

Once she was done helping me dress as well as helped me choose the accessories to go with the dress which included a black frilly chocker that match the dress perfectly as well simple black earrings and a simple bracelet that goes with the ring she picked out for me to wear. Then even though I didn't have much of an appetite because my stomach wouldn't stop turning as my nerves were in full throttle I went to breakfast which I only took possibly two tiny bites of before I left out of the house and to the carriage that doesn't have our house crest on it before heading out to the estate of Silvermist. And all I kept thinking in my mind was, please don't let me be too late to save him from twisted fate. And I hope that even after my visit today he won't start killing people after I leave. For today on the anniversary of his adopted mother's death, he goes mad and starts seeing what he believes is her ghost but is a figment of his imagination because the day he killed his adopted mother something inside of him broke and became twisted only to rear its ugly head on the anniversary of her death.
