A/N:This chapter takes place the same night as chapter 11.

"Where'd you go?" Someone asked as I rejoined the party.

"Caught someone spying on us. Don't worry they've been taken care of." I said giving them a reassured look. They looked at me questionably before shaking their head and shrugging.

"Let's dance." Someone says pulling me into the dance floor. I was dancing with a guy that looked to be a year maybe two years older than me. He had brown hair and blue eyes that are paler than anything you have ever seen. I could get lost in his eyes, the way they sparkled when he laughed or the way they lightened up whenever someone mentioned the battle. He was an excellent dancer and he guided us gracefully through the crowd of dancers.

"I'm Thomas." He said looking at my eyes.

"I would assume I don't have to say my name because you already know it correct?" He nodded and laughed. I found myself laughing with him and enjoying his company.

"Correct. You're a good dancer." He said turning me in a spin.

"Thanks but really you're doing all the work."

"Nonsense. So, you ready for the battle tomorrow?" He asked stepping closer so that we were inches apart. His lips looked soft in the pale lights of the dance floor. My eyes had drifted to his lips.

"Mmhmm." I said my attention elsewhere. He chuckled.

"If you want a kiss you can just ask for it." He said pulling me into a kiss. His hand drew form my waist to the back of my head and his other hand was caressing my back. The kiss was rough and passionate, it held a sort of spark to it.

We pulled back, he laid his forehead on mine and calmed his breathing. We were both breathless for the kiss.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to kiss you this soon in the night but I just feel like your the one for me. Normally I don't rush into things like this but will you go out with me?" He said pulling his head back and looking me in the eyes.

"Let's get to know each other first alright? I don't like taking things fast." I said smiling at him, he nodded and pulled us over to the punch bowl. He poured two glasses of blue punch and offered me one. It felt smooth and chill and it went down my throat.

"Good isn't it?" He asked taking a drink from his glass. I nodded.

"Hey you can't keep her all night." A girl said coming over to where we were standing. Thomas pulled me into his side and said, "I can if I want to."

The girl smiled and pulled me into a hug and away from Thomas.

"Ignore him he just wants you all for himself. Anyway I'm Hannah." The girl- Hannah- said pulling away from the hug I laughed.

"Was he trying to bore you with all his battle talk or just trying to get you drunk?" She asked smirking.

"I would never." Thomas butt in. She waved him away and turned towards me. Her light brown hair looked similar to the girl that I caught him the balcony.

"Come now we must introduce you to everyone." She pulled me back onto the dance floor and introduced me to the musicians. They were called The Black Notes, they were Crows as well.

"Hannah." Someone said as we headed towards the back of the room. I turned along with Hannah. Thomas was there looking to me then to someone at the doors. My eyes drifted towards the doors. Ransom was there looking for someone, when he locked eyes with me he came walking over.

"Ah there you are. If you'll excuse me I'm going to steal Athena for the rest of the night." He said offering me his arm. I took it questionably and looked at Hannah. She was pouting but shrugged when she saw I was looking at her. He walked me out of the party and down a long hallway before turning left and walking down another long hallway. We stopped at two big oak double doors. They were inscribed with the same gold writing I saw on a door in the maze thing.

"Here we are. This is your room." He said push ignore the doors open. A Queen-sized bed was in the middle of the room against glass walls. The floor was made of dark wood which matched perfectly with the bed. It was a beautiful kind of dark.

"Like it?" He asked.

"Like it? I love it." I said walking into the bedroom.

"Good. I had the tailor organize some clothes for you for tomorrow and he also got you something for your wings for the battle." He said pulling a package from behind his back. It was wrapped in brown package and tied with black string. I took the package and set it on a coffee table that was on the side of the bed. The package was easy to tear.

Inside the package was warrior paint, armor, and gel for my wings. I squealed and hugged the armor. Ransom chuckled on my bed which he had been seating on. I looked around the room for a closet and found one. I rushed into the closet armor in tow and changed.

I stared at myself in the mirror after I had changed. The armor clung to my body tightly but comfortable enough so that I could move around and not feel closed in. A hood was attached with the armor I pulled it up. It casted a shadow covering my eyes and face. The armor was designed especially for me because when I put it on it had two holes in the back side of it for my wings.

With the armor, hood, and wings I looked badass. The only thing that could make the armor even better was a weapon, unfortunately I didn't see any weapons when I walked into the bedroom.

"You almost done in there?" came Ransom's voice from the bedroom.

"Yea I'm already done." I yelled back. I walked out of the closet and did a little twirl. Ransom looked smug as he looked me over.

"He won't know what hit him." He whispered to himself.

"Hm?" I said even though I knew what he said. He shook his head.

"Nothing. We have a meeting to catch so get anything you need and let's go." He stood up and waited at the door. I put the rest of my presents away and joined him at the door.

"I'm ready."
