I feel myself wake up. But I don't remember falling asleep in the first place. It feels like it's been a long time since I've been awake.
I look over to see a crying Ashton.
"Ash?" I ask, finding it hard to speak.
"Carter?" He asks and I smile.
"Oh my god carter!" He says and hugs me. I'm confused but I hug him back.
"What's going on?" I asked.
"Carter you've been in a coma for almost 6 months now. They were going to take you off life support tonight if you didn't wake up. Oh my god I've missed you so much." he says.
Woah, back the truck up.
"Wait, so how long have we been dating?" I ask, trying to reassure myself.
"4 years, since freshman year." he says, sounding a little disappointed.
Everything was just a dream.
Me trying to commit suicide, me moving to Australia and meeting Ashton and the boys and Zoe.
Oh my god Zoe.
She was my best friend.
"So we didn't meet in the last 6 months?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"Shit." I mutter.
"What's wrong?" He asks and I look at him.
"Well I had this dream." I start and I tell him everything that happened while I was in a coma.
"Wow..." Ashton says and I feel myself tear up.
"Why are you crying Cart?" Ashton asks and sits closer to me.
"I-I it-it's just," I start but pause, "Zoe wasn't even real. Our relationship from that wasn't real. What about the boys? My brother?" I ask.
"Chase lives with your dad in England remember? You moved her with your mom and your brother and your dad stayed in England." Ashton says and I bawl even more.
"Oh my god I can't believe it was all just a dream." I say.
"Wait, boys? What boys? It's always just been you, me, Luke, and Morgan."
