Makoto Brenner thought his life was simple, he was adopted by an American family but then his parents were killed in a crash so he was taken in by his uncles.
He thought that was it, but when he was caught in an accident he finds out that his life isn't what it thought it was, and only one person was there with him through it all.
Eugene Thompson, people knew him as a bully but he wasn't like that around Makoto, Makoto saw, the Eugene that who doted on his little sister, shielded her from their parent's evil.
They were two different people but Makoto and Eugene made each other better.
