It was a rare chance that Makoto and Eugene got a chance to spend some time alone, but they had the whole house. Leon was at work and Will was working at his second job because Jesse was at school, so on the way home Will was going to pick her up and bring her to the Brenner household. "Are you sure it was a half-day at Midtown? That seems strange because I would think they would want you to study and be all smart and shit." Eugene chuckles and tosses a grape into Makoto's mouth, he cheers when it lands in his mouth and he chomps on it waiting for Eugene's answer.

"They did a half-day because our exams are coming up so they want us to study but jokes on them. I got better to do than study." Eugene leans closer to Makoto and kisses him on the mouth slightly. "Yea, but if you get kicked out then Rosie and Harrison will be mad." Makoto presses his lips together as he looks at Eugene sadly, he knew what would happen if Eugene failed out of Midtown so he didn't want that to happen.

Eugene's eyes darken slightly before they change back into their normal color and he stops clenching his hand tightly from being angry at hearing their names. "I know, but that won't happen because in a couple of months I'll be 18 and I can leave. I can try to get Jesse to come with me, I don't know if that will happen but I can try my best."

Makoto looks at Eugene sadly, he kisses Eugene on the cheek and stands up. He holds out his hand to Eugene and explains when he looks at the hand that Eugene offered him confusedly. "I'm gonna help you study." Eugene gives him a funny look. "Not like that, but if you do one assignment I'll cuddle you for 10 minutes. Deal?" Makoto bargains with a smirk on his face knowing that Eugene will say yes.

Eugene stands up and nods his head, Makoto leads him towards the table which already has Eugene's backpack sitting on top of it. Makoto was about to pull out the chair next to Eugene when the doorbell rang. "Are you expecting someone?" Eugene asks as he stops pulling things out of his bag to look at Makoto. "Uh, no. Will wouldn't have rung the doorbell, stay here." Eugene was about to protest but Makoto shook his head gently and opened a ball of fire in his hand.

He opened the door with his opposite hand, Makoto let out a sigh of relief and closed his hand putting out the fire when he saw who it was. "Hi, sorry if I scared you but I was on the way from when I realized Mr. Stark wanted me to give this to you," Peter says as Makoto lets him walk into the apartment. "Oh, Parker. Hey." Eugene said awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. Peter looks back at Makoto worriedly but Makoto gives him a reassuring look. "He knows, about my powers. You're safe." Makoto winks at Peter before walking over to the table and places the package down.

Makoto looks at Peter confused as he starts to open it and sees purple. He brushes the wrapping away before laying it out on the table in front of him. "Oh my god," Eugene whispers standing up and he walks towards Makoto putting his arm around his waist. "I have a suit," Makoto says quietly, almost like he isn't able to wrap his head around it. "Mr. Stark wanted you to have something so maybe you could start helping people, and maybe Sunfire can be real." Peter shrugs putting his hands in his pockets.

Makoto tilts his head when he hears what Peter called him. "Sunfire?" Peter blushes rubbing his head with his head. "That's the name I came up with when we made the suit we had to name it something so we named it Sunfire which you don't have to use but I just thought it was a cool name." Peter chuckles before pulling out a chair and hesitantly taking a seat. "No no, I like the name. Wait, did you say you helped Mr. Stark make this?" Makoto's head snaps up towards Peter who sheepishly nods.

"I did, I hope that's alright but if you don't like that I helped uh Mr. Stark did most of the work." Peter chuckles nervously, he lets out a small smile with Makoto shakes his head quickly in disagreement. "This is fucking amazing that you made this Peter holy shit, but am I even worthy of doing what Spider-Man and Torch-Lighter do? I basically am Torch-Lighter but younger and less experienced."

Both Eugene and Peter let out identical scoffs at Makoto's statement. "You are the most worthy person I know Makoto, you picked me up and helped me find love again. You can do this, you can be Sunfire." Eugene presses one hand on the orange flame the was on the suit and takes his other hand and puts it on Makoto's heart silently telling Makoto they are one and the same.

Makoto smiles at Eugene before looking back down at the suit on the table, a suit that was his. It would take some getting used to but Makoto can be a hero, a real hero. "I'm doing this, I'm gonna be Sunfire." Makoto chuckles happily when Peter and Eugene both through their hands up and cheer. "Hey, I should go but I'll let Mr. Stark know you like the suit." Peter scoots the chair back and stands up, as he starts to walk towards the door Makoto stops him with a gentle grip on his arm. Makoto sighs happily and hugs Peter tightly, Peter tenses in surprise but he lets out a laugh and hugs Makoto back. "Let me know when you're going on your first Patrol, I wanna join you," Peter whispers into Makoto's ear sneakily, Makoto gives him a small nod, something that was not noticeable to Eugene luckily.
