Makoto and Eugene have only been officially dating for a few weeks but those have been the best weeks of both of their lives. Makoto has been understanding about how Eugene can't come out because of his parents but as Makoto always says their love is enough. "Hey, are you alright?" Eugene says breaking Makoto out of his thoughts.

Makoto presses his lips together and turns to face Eugene who was laying on his side on top of Makoto's bed. "What do you think 'It wasn't an accident' means?" Eugene says talking about the earrings which were stored in a box on top of his dresser so he can try to forget about them. "I think it's obvious, I think they were killed and I think my powers aren't natural. I think that something bigger is going on." Makoto sighs and flops over onto his back looking up at his ceiling. "Do you think maybe it was your birth family?" Eugene suggested gently.

Makoto shrugged. "I don't think so, from my knowledge my birth Mom was a tiny Japanese, Korean, and Chinese woman who ran a dumpling shop to live. I doubt it could be her but I think we should just forget about it for now." Makoto rolls back over and interlocks his body with Eugene's making his head fit under his head, he feels Eugene sigh and place his arms around Makoto's body squeezing tightly in a hug before loosening again and just hang there.

Leon and Will were pretty lax about the door rule knowing that it will happen either way but Makoto's uncles said they much rather it happen at their house than anywhere else, Makoto was a little embarrassed by the conversation but he understood, which is why the two of them could cuddle without any embarrassment but that didn't mean Leon or Will wouldn't tease the two of them when they walked past but Makoto didn't have to worry about that because they weren't home. Leon was working at Will was picking up Jesse from a friend's house.

"I have a question," Eugene asks after a few moments of silence, Makoto nods and gently pulls back from Eugene's arms. "What's up?" Makoto says looking at Eugene lifting for a second to bring his hair around to one side. "When are you going to tell Nicholas and Aurora about your powers?"

Makoto squinted at him, he hasn't thought about that before. He kind of feels bad because he hasn't hung out without them much since he's gotten his powers, he's been busy with training and spending time with Eugene. "I don't know, I haven't talked to them much besides school. You officially haven't met them as my boyfriend yet either." Makoto smirks a little bit at the shocked look on his face, of course, Makoto would turn this around on him.

"This is about you not me but what if we do a picnic, it would be safe and we could go to one that is out of the way so I'm not at risk of being caught by someone that knows Harrison or Rosie." Makoto nods throughout when Eugene is speaking. "That's a good idea, to my knowledge neither of them would know someone who knows them but I'll get them to promise they won't tell anyone." Eugene nods at Makoto kissing him on the side of his head.

"I know that you wouldn't put me in danger, and I'm almost 18 only a few months but then I can get out with Jesse." Eugene releases Makoto and sits up on the edge of Makoto's bed who was looking at him confused. "I'm hungry, come on." Eugene gestures with his hand for Makoto to follow him into the kitchen, Makoto sighs but chuckles as he follows his boyfriend into the kitchen. "Pizza?" Makoto suggests nodding towards the pizza box that was on the counter.

Instead of answering Eugene grabs two paper plates that were on the counter in the corner, he handed a plate to Makoto and opened the pizza box grabbing himself a slice. "So, can I ask why you pick on Peter all the time?" Makoto asks nervously breaking the silence, Eugene lifts his head and looks at Makoto in surprise before wiping his mouth on the napkin he grabbed for himself. "Well, we all knew that Peter is bisexual and I was jealous of that fact. I think I always knew that I wasn't a match for Grayson but I still loved him so much, he helped me become a better person so I couldn't help but understand why he went to Peter after we broke up. I still tease Peter from time to time but we're more civil, I don't think we will ever be friends but we both have Grayson to thank for how far we've come."

Makoto reaches with his free hand and squeezes Eugene's hand comfortingly. "I'm glad you told me that, I may not understand the loss you feel but I know how hard it is to talk about a passed loved one." Eugene smiles but the smile doesn't reach his eyes so Makoto grabs the remote and starts some comedy show to try and get Eugene's mind off of the discussion they just had.

Makoto never wants Eugene to feel sad but he felt it was important for them to talk about it because Makoto never condones bullying people, he's been on the other end and it's never fun. "Have you checked your phone to see if you've gotten a text from Will recently, I'm getting a little worried about them," Eugene says during a commercial. Makoto shrugs but grabs his phone from his pants pocket and sure enough one missed text from Will. "He says they stopped for Ice-Cream because Jesse wanted some, he texted me 10 minutes ago saying they should be home in 20 minutes so they should be on the way."

Eugene slowly relaxes letting his shoulders drop and he places his plate on the coffee table in front of them. "Good, that's good."
