•The day before karaoke night•
Don't play song yet.
Aphmau had decided to visit Levin, Malachi and Claire's graves again, so now she is walking around the park towards them with three small bouquets.
As she turns a corner she can see the entrance to the graveyard, so she heads towards the booth and tells them who she's there for. They let her in and she walks towards the Irene statue, and stands upon the threesome's graves.
She kneels down and lays each bouquet on each grave carefully, and as soon as that's done she sits down, with both legs to her chest and her hugging them both.
"Hey, Levin, Malachi and Claire. How are you guys doing?"
Silence.
"H-Hopefully well. I bet heaven is great, huh? Have you see Irene yet? You guys sure are lucky to be able to see her." Aphmau chuckled.
"I'm missing you all dearly, and it pains me to look back to the time I worked there, when I didn't know it was you guys. You all have tried to save me from the other animatronics countless times, and I'm sorry to say that I have a problem that I wish to talk about with you three." Aphmau sighed.
"It's okay Aphmau—" Claire's ghost appeared on top of her grave. "Tell us. We don't have anymore problems to deal with in heaven other than yours. We won't mind at all, we would love to get rid of what is troubling you. Now, tell us."
"Yeah, mama! We'll help you feel better!" Levin appeared beside her.
"Yeah!" Malachi appears to the side of her as well.
Aphmau giggles at their kind gesture, and starts to explain her dilemma.
"Well, you guys should know about my boyfriend Garroth, right?" Aphmau looks at them and they all nod.
"Well, ever since Aaron came back— Garroth hasn't really been himself. And I feel it's cause of Aaron's return. He's been showing obvious signs of jealousy, and knows I'm falling for Aaron. So, he's been trying to get me away from him."
"Aren't you and Papa Aaron married-"
"SHHHH! WE CAN'T TELL HER ABOUT HER PAST LIFE!" Claire whisper yelled as she cut off Malachi.
"U-um ok?" I say confused, but continued regardless. "Well, ever since I've noticed his behaviour towards me and Aaron, I've been trying to confront him about it. But, it would always turn out to be an argument. I hate it. And well, I'm ending it all. I'm ending it all tomorrow." I smile confidently.
"Aphmau! I know this is bothering you a lot but you don't have to resort to suicide!" Claire exclaimed.
"W-what!? N-no, you've got it wrong Claire! I mean end our relationship!" I panicked.
"O-oh, sorry." She chuckled.
"So yeah. But, I'm scared of what will happen to him, me, or more like us? Like, would we just resort to being friends? Or not talk at all anymore?! I don't know...but, I'm just worried about the after affects of my decision. So, I've come here." I look to Claire, Levin then Malachi.
"Well Aphmau, it really all depends on what the three words mean to you when you say it to him." Claire says.
"What are those words?" I tilt my head.
" 'I love you' "
???'s POV
"She's here again? Hasn't she come here enough?" A man spoke behind me.
"She misses her deceased loved ones, and the least she could do is at least visit their graves. It doesn't matter if she comes here too often, this is a graveyard and she's allowed to come in whenever she pleases."
"Don't you think she's a bit crazy though? Talking to dead corpses, she's making herself look bad." The man scoffed as he lit his cigarette.
"No. She's perfectly fine, you're making yourself look bad cause you obviously can't see she is talking someone. And they aren't dead, I can tell you that." I stated. "Plus, you're smoking which is a violation of park policy. Technically you're making yourself look bad, Mason."
"H-how do you know my..." He dropped his cigarette.
"Secret."
Aphmau's POV
•Present Time•
(Previously)
"Okay...so, everyone has had the chance to sing at least once, right?" Katelyn says as soon as she notices Garroth's face.
Everyone nods, and is agreeing, so Katelyn turns to me and looks straight into my eyes.
"Then, I would like to welcome Aphmau Phoenix to the mic."
(Now)
"H-hello, this song is dedicated to someone special in the room. This song is just for you." I stuttered as Katelyn passes my ukulele.
I hesitate at first, but Katelyn gives me a reassuring face and thumbs up.
I nod and take a deep breath.
My mouth and my hands, well, it did the rest.
Play song.
"I'll pick you up at the same time, At the same place, the same old drive, We'll just talk about our day, To try to fill the awkward space tonight, We'll play the songs we used to love While we try to fall in love again, oh, And we don't who's wrong or right, But we don't even care enough to fight..We're going through the motions, 'Cause we can't fix what's broken, And I know it's gonna hurt, But darling I'll go first,
'Cause I won't keep on saying, those three empty words. No, I won't keep on saying, those three empty words. Oh~ Though we're still talking everyday, I'm running out of things to say to you, What's really gonna break my heart,
It's to have to tell your little brother, It might be easier to stay, But it'll never be the same, no, oh, no~ And if something doesn't change, Then we'll keep on sinking further, Oh oh, we're going through the motions, yeah, 'Cause we can't fix what's broken..And I know it's gonna hurt, But darling I'll go first,
'Cause I won't keep on saying, those three empty words..Those three empty words.. We'll only make it worse...I'm tired, I can't take it anymore, Those three empty words, Will only make it worse, We tired, we can't take it anymore, We're going through motions, 'Cause we can't fix what's broken, no, And I know it's gonna hurt, But darling I'll go first, I won't keep on saying, those three empty words. We don't have to keep on saying, those three empty words..No, I can't keep on saying those three empty words...." I finish, tears streaming down."I'm sorry Garroth, but, I just can't keep saying those three empty words anymore. I love you, but it's over now." I break down, running to the den as quick as I can.
I put on my jacket, scarf, and boots, and grab my suitcase. I can hear Garroth yelling but they're all holding him back, I look at Garroth with the "I'm so sorry" look one last time, then head out the door.
