Chapter 15, Part 1

Aphmau's POV

The sound of my alarm echoes throughout my room, I groan as I turn it off. I take a look at my phone screen, my eyes squinting to make my eyesight focus. My eyes widen and a smile appears on my lips.

October 16

I jump out of my bed and dance around my room, celebrating my existence.

I frolic over to my closet and pick out a formal but casual Autumn outfit. I choose a peach-tan knitted turtleneck, black ripped jeans, black Vans and I curled my hair to complete the look.

I grab my phone then hurry down the stairs and see Nana in the kitchen making something on the stove, and Katelyn calling someone on the phone.

"WHAT!? C'MON, DANTE! HURRY AND GO RUSH TO THE STORE, AND DON'T GET OFF TRACK BY BUYING SOUP CANS!" Katelyn yelled and hung up.

"U-Uhm, good morning!" I greeted.

Both Katelyn and Nana turn their attention to me, then rush over tackling me.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FAVOURITE DORK!" Katelyn hugged me.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY APHMAUUU!" Nana cheered.

"Th-Thank you girls, I really appreciate it." I smile.

"Come eat Aphmau! I made you a special pancake breakfast, it's a recipe I use only for special occasions! Take a seat!" Nana gestured me over to the table.

She passes me a huge stack of chocolate chipped pancakes topped with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, and with a strawberry on top.

My mouth starts to water and Nana chuckles.

"I'll let you get into that." She snickers and walks away.

I start munching on the pancakes and I savour each and every single bite. When it came down to the last piece, I made sure to really savour it.

"That was delicious...but now I'm stuffed." I chuckled as I rub my stomach.

I bring my plate and utensils over to the sink and was about to wash them when Katelyn took them from me.

"Nope. You ain't gonna do any chores today, missy."

"But-"

"No. Chores. Both me and Nana want you to have a great birthday, especially with all of your friends living in the same street as you! Me and Nana planned a special Girls Day with you, me, Nana, Nicole, Cadenza, and Lucinda! Since you're already dressed, just go over to Aaron's or something, it'll be pretty boring here." Katelyn said as she turned on the tap and started to wash the dishes.

"Um, ok I guess?" I say, confused.

I walk to the front and head outside.

I take in the warm, crisp air and start skipping over to Aaron's house.

"Happy Birthday, Aph!" Nicole yelled from her house as I passed by.

"Awe, Thanks!" I reply, flustered.

I arrive at Aaron's place and before I could even touch the doorbell, he immediately opened up the door.

"H-hey Aph!" He stuttered, sweating a bit.

"Hey, Aaron. Do you mind if we hang out? If you're not busy, of course. This was kind of last minute so I didn't bother to contact you-"

"IT'S O-OKAY!" He interrupted me. "Come in!" He smiled.

I walk in and notice that his living room seems a bit...odd. I shrug it off and plop onto the couch.

"So, what do you want to-"
