Danny's pov

I hear beeping and people talking. Clearly I'm not dead. I open my eyes, only to shut the again from the bright light.

"Danny?"

The voice makes me want to open my eyes, So I do. I look around slowly before my eyes land on the guys. George is sleeping, with Jordan leaning on him. Jorel is sleeping on the chair, cuddling with Matt and Dylan is on the floor next to the chair.

"Danny?"

There's the same voice.

"Daddy?"

My curiosity peeks and my eyes land on my daughter Scarlett and Reese.

"Oh my god, Danny. I thought I lost you."

Reese says while crying and holding Scarlett close to her.

"Hey baby."

I say smiling at Scarlett. It had been so long since I last saw her.

"Look at you. You grew up so fast."

I say feeling my eyes watering.

"I missed you daddy. Mommy said that you had a fun trip, touring."
"I missed you too baby. And I had a great time touring. Just had a little accident coming back."

I look at Reese and she looks away.

"Is Ava here?"

Scarlett asks looking around.

"I didn't see her. You could ask uncle George if Asia is going to bring her. Or maybe you could go have a playdate with her at uncle George's house."
"George. George. Uncle George."

George opens his eyes and smiles at Scarlett.

"Yes?"
"Can I have a playdate at your house with Ava? Please?"
"Of course you can sweetie. Auntie Asia will be here... Now."

George says as Asia walks through the door with Ava. George still hasn't realized I'm awake so I close my eyes.

"Come on Scar. I thought you might wanna have a playdate. Hi Theresa. Is he any better?"
"He still hasn't opened his eyes. I'm scared Asia."
"Aww. It'll be okay Reese. He'll pull through, he's strong."
"Thanks Asia."
"Of course Reese. Come on Scar, Ava's in the car."
"Bye mommy. Bye daddy. I love you."

I feel Scarlett kiss my forehead and hear her walk out of the room.

"George, he's awake."

I slowly open my eyes and look at George slowly. He looks at me and rubs his hands.

"Danny, why didn't you tell us?"

His voice is soft, not like how he usually is.

"I, I don't know. I just, didn't want to burden you."
"Danny you could've come to us. We will always, always help you. You would not burden us, ever."
"I-I'm sorry."

Tears pour out of my eyes and I see Reese looking away, guilt clear in her eyes.

"D-danny I'm sorry. I didn't realize your mother died. And I'm sorry for leaving, I'm sorry for taking Scarlett away from you."

Reese looks at me and I smile weakly.

"It's alright Reese. I never blamed you for it. I wouldn't want Scarlett growing up with an unstable father."
"You weren't unstable, you were just in pain and I made it worse. Oh my god I'm so, so sorry Danny."

Reese cries wiping her eyes as the rest of the guys wake up and walk out of the room. She walks closer to me and I gently grab her wrist and pull her to me. I hug her tightly while she and I cry. It is a nice, different feeling. The two of us, just holding eachother, no words and just soft cries. We needed it, I needed it. Someone to turn too, someone who could help me. Truth is, me nor her, know what our future is, how could we know? The guys need me, Reese needs me, my baby Scarlett needs me, and I need every single one of them.

"I'm so sorry Reese."
"I'm sorry Danny. I'm so sorry I abandoned you when you needed me the most."
"You didn't abandoned me, Reese. I needed to realize that I needed help, even if it led to me laying here in this hospital bed."

Reese just puts her head on my shoulder and cries.

"Lay down with me, Reese."
"I love you, I'm so, so sorry for leaving."

She says as she lies down next to me. I smile and pull her to me. I kiss her gently.

"Maybe, we should give it another shot. Not just for Scarlett, but for us as well. I need you Reese, I'm lost without you."
"And I need you Danny."
"I love you so much Reese."
"I love you to Danny."
