"So, do you want a drink Mrs. Valeska?" Jeremiah stood up and offered a hand to his wife.

Olivia smiled softly. "Of course kind sir." She stood up and linked her arm with his.

" I know a great place around here. " Jeremiah looked down at his wife with a knowing smile. He led her through the maze, knowing that she was a little clueless without her map or his help. "It's just around the corner." Olivia felt like a teenager again giggling and feeling so free besides Jeremiah. He had always been so paranoid, and after years of convincing, he had mysteriously changed.

They turned the corner and entered the kitchen. This was one of the only rooms Jeremiah had let Olivia decorate with colors that weren't shade of grey 1 and shade of grey 2. After a lot of hugs, neck kisses and escape rooms, Jeremiah had given in to decorate the kitchen, their room and the library.

The majority of the memories Olivia had of her mother where in the kitchen. Veronica hadn't gone to college, so she was raised to be a housewife. Every time Olivia was feeling down or had achieved something, Veronica would make a delicious dinner, lunch or chocolate cookies to make her feel better or show that she was proud of her.

After Veronica and her father Marco where killed by an unknown man, Olivia took the recipe book her mother had made for her and studied by heart. Olivia also told Jeremiah that she couldn't cook in a kitchen that looked like a morgue.

Jeremiah approached the fridge and opened the door. "Let's see. We have water, coffee and, nothing. We are empty."

Olivia sat on one of the chairs at the island and pulled a six pack of beer. "Not anymore hot-shot."

Jeremiah turned around, looked at the crate and smiled. "How much did those cost?"

Olivia looked down at the crate and smiled. "Well judging it's the same brand of beer we've been having since we started knowing each other in college, I'd say it was cheap."

Jeremiah walked to the island and grabbed one. "You are really something love." Olivia handed him the bottle opener and he opened his beer. "Thanks 'Via." He gave her back the tool. Olivia placed it back where it was and smiled at Jeremiah.

"How's that energy thing going land dude." Olivia had always teased Jeremiah, calling him that because his creations stayed on land.

"You know it has a future. You are just jealous that finally something I've designed is more interesting than your plane models." Olivia scoffed at her husband.

"Am not!" Her tone expressed disbelief

"Yes you are." He was knowingly smiling at her.

She looked back at him. "Maybe a bit. But t don't push it. Land-boy " She said the last part muttering to herself. Jeremiah took out the bottle of water for his wife, perfectly knowing that she couldn't drink anything that contained alcohol. "Thanks love."

Jeremiah kissed her lips gently. She hummed in approval, making the man slip his arm around her waist.

"You know I love you, right?" Olivia smirked.

"I didn't realize, you only say it about a hundred times per day." Jeremiah placed his forehead against hers.

"My wife, the comedian."  That comment made the female chuckle gently. Jeremiah was a serious man, but it seemed as if his wife would fix all of that. Olivia didn't consider herself as a funny person. There are funnier people in the world she would say, but she could make funny comments that could make you chuckle.

After some minutes Olivia decided to turn the T.V. on, to see the news. The face of her husband's brother showed up on the flat screen.

"Jeremiah!" The steps of the man could be heard approaching the room at a fast pace.

Jeremiah entered the room breathless and looked at what his wife was so scared about.

...

"I watched the news, I know why you are here, Mr. Gordon." The four of us watched as Jeremiah poured himself some of the scotch that was on his table. " And you must be out of your mind if you think we're gonna let be led like a lamb to slaughter."

"We understand, but your brother doesn't bluff." I slowly looked at each one of the members in the room, taking my own time to study each and one of their corporal expressions. "If we ignore his demands, there's no telling of what he might do.

"We can block his remote signal with this." The only person I didn't know took a step forward to speak.

"I do not want to sound rood, but, who are you?" The man seemed surprised by my intervenient. "I'm Olivia Valeska, but I don't seem to remember you."

"My bad. My name is Lucius, Lucius Fox." I nodded in acknowledgment and with my nicest smile.

"Olivia, if the three of you can get close to him." Jeremiah scoffed and looked the other way, Jim trying to convince me. "He'll be a sitting duck, out snipers will get to him."

"Okay, I'll do it." Jeremiah looked at me alarmed, maybe even betrayed. " 'Miah, in the worst-case scenario, four lives are lost, but we save all the people in Gotham." Jeremiah darkly snickered, staring at the ground.

"No one in Gotham is worthy of you and our child's life." Jeremiah then turned to Jim. "For god's sake Gordon, you know what he wants. Murder Bruce and I and-and." Jeremiah stopped to take a deep breath. " Who knows what he will do to Olivia."

"Olivia, you are pregnant?" Everybody turned to the small voice of Bruce Wayne, who had grown since the last time he had seen his friend.

"Yes, Bruce." All of the men seemed surprised, except the one who already knew.

"Harvey is going to be a Godfather." Jim seemed in shock, Olivia only smiled sheepishly.

"Mr. Valeska, I'm Bruce Wayne. It's a pleasure to meet you." Bruce extended his hand for Jeremiah to shake.

"Likewise, I just wish it was in different circumstances." We all knew Bruce had a plan.

"May I ask on what project you are working on?" Bruce examined all the blue papers hanging on the walls. Expecting Jeremiah to tell him a bit about them.

"Uh, yeah. It's a compact electrical engine." Jeremiah looked down in embarrassment. "It creates power." Bruce seemed truly amazed.

"Fascinating. How much power?" Both males stared at the prototype in admiration, the rest in confusion.

"Just enough to light every building at the west of the south board bridge." Jeremiah looked proud of his invention. It is a huge success for the man.

"You have a very bright mind. We all hope it can soon be rid of your brother so that you can carry your work free from fear." And there it is, Bruce's plan for convincing Jeremiah. "Maybe it doesn't go as planned. But maybe I can prove to the people of Gotham that the only gave of beating terror is standing up to it."

Jeremiah seemed to consider what Bruce was saying and replied:

"Well said." Jeremiah turned around to grab his coat, and I silently smiled at Bruce in approval. "Let's go."

...

We reached the stage and found Jerome playing the guitar with far much distortion. When he saw us he immediately stopped, staring at us in amazement.

"Look who decided to show up. We were starting to get nervous, especially the mayor here." Jerome pointed at the old man who was strapped to one of the chairs. "Ladies, take your seats on stage." Bruce started walking forwards. Jeremiah and I standing still. "C'mon, don't be shy." I grabbed 'Miah's hand and we started walking ahead. "Hi, brother, Olivia." I started walking faster, trying to catch up with Bruce.

I could feel Jeremiah painfully dragging his feet to meet his greatest fear. We heard shooting and saw bodies falling to the ground. The snipers.

"Now bruce, Brother dear, and little sister come up on stage." We all kept walking to our goal. "Let's get this party started huh?"
