Jason and Jacob were perfectly fine. That didn't mean I trusted Ecco nor Jeremiah. Once Jacob saw me, he outstretched his little chubby arms to indicate he wanted me to hold him. Jason was looking at Jeremiah with his eyes full of wonder.

"How are you baby, did you miss mommy?" Jacob only squealed in delight, pulling the stray curls from my bun. "Maybe you only missed mommy's hair."

Jeremiah went to pick up Jason from the crib. My shoulders tensed. I knew Jeremiah wouldn't hurt him, although I couldn't avoid my awareness.

Jason stared at Jeremiah harder. His small hand reached out to grab his nose. Jeremiah breathed in slowly. I could tell he was trying to contain his anger. "You seem to be a curious one..." He turned around to look at me with a questioning glance.

I got angry with the fact that he didn't remember his sons' names. Yes, he hadn't been around, but I had already told him their names.

"Jason, you are holding Jason" He nodded slowly and then looked at Jacob. "And he is Jacob. Jeremiah, I've already told you their names. How could you forget?" I placed Jacob on my hip, one arm holding him from behind and the other one over his stomach.

"It is not my fault this is the third time I see them in my life. Someone had them hidden from me." He copied my movements and placed Jason on his hip. "I wonder who that was? If I didn't love that person, I think she wouldn't be breathing anymore." Jeremiah's nose was almost touching mine. The twins were oblivious of our conversation.

"Well, I assure you. If that person had your children hidden from you, she doesn't love you." Jeremiah's jaw tensed, his arms gripping Jason harder.

The sudden restriction of movement made Jason to start crying. My eyes shifted to my son. I then looked at Jeremiah with hate. "Let go of Jason." Jeremiah took a step back. I placed Jacob so that I didn't need both of my arms. Jason kept crying, making Jeremiah nervous. I gently grabbed Jason and placed him on my other side.

"Mommy's here. Don't worry, mommy's here." It took Jason some time to stop crying. After a while, he fell asleep. His tiny head resting on my arm.

"I'm sorry." I looked at Jeremiah. "I didn't mean to overreact." His green eyes didn't hold any remorse. They were cold and calculating. "Perhaps I can make it up to you." I scoffed.

"I doubt you can do that." I gently placed Jason on his crib. Humming a soft song in Jacob's ear to see if he could join his brother. I knew perfectly well that this new Jeremiah couldn't make it up to me. The only thing he could do for me was being his old self, and he was too selfish for that.

After what seemed a long time of Jeremiah breathing down my back, Jacob had fallen asleep. "Ask for anything, and I'll give it to you." I glared at him and turned around. Now he was behind me, still begging.

"You can't give me what I want." my hands were resting on Jason's crib. I was admiring my son. How his face would be so calm, no worries at all. I stiffened when I felt his hands on my shoulders.

"You're a Goddess. You deserve whatever you want." My hands gripped the piece of expensive wood.

"Stop. Saying. That." He dragged his hands down to my elbows, his lips touching my neck.

"Let me prove it to you."

...

Ecco had forced me into a white flowy dress. She had then placed a black and white striped jacket over my shoulders.

"You look great mistress Olivia." The honey-like voice of Ecco was making me mad.

"I've told you not to call me that Ecco." She giggled gently. I looked in the direction she was towards and saw Jeremiah. He was wearing the same jacket, with a dress shirt and a tie. He also had a big hat on.
