Jake Abel is going to be Harvey Dent. I know there is already a Harvey Dent in the TV show, but I want him to look a bit more like the one from The Dark Knight.
9 years later.
"Mom, have you seen my guitar pick?" I looked up from the pot of red sauce for the pasta.
"Have you looked inside your pockets?"
Jacob had kept his interest in music from when he was a baby. I had signed him up to drums classes when he was five, him loving it the second he started. Two years later, he asked me to teach him how to play guitar. I hadn't picked up one of those since I married Jeremiah. He also knew how to play, and he always insisted on him to play for me. After teaching him the small knowledge I had left, he insisted I signed him up for that too.
Jason was what everybody knew as a jock. He was captain of his elementary school soccer team. He was also a huge magnet for girls, something he despised. He was ten, so I understood, but I knew that in a few summers, he was going to drown in happiness. Although Jason was the twin that looked like Jeremiah the most, he didn't need glasses, and he was more of an extrovert.
Veronica, or Ronnie, as family and friends called her, was such a sweetheart. She is a miny me. It is hard to tell if pictures are her or me. Being the younger sister of two boys wasn't easy, and I could tell. The majority of her friends were swooning all over Jason, but she was somewhat popular between some boys in her class.
Veronica wasn't an expected baby, but a mother's love is a mother's love. After deciding on keeping her, life seemed to improve. She was a promise, in somehow. When she was born, Gotham had already got itself a bit together. Jeremiah was in Arkham, and The boys had already turned one. Barbara Gordon, Barbara, and Jim's daughter had also been born, making them good friends.
"Jason, wash your hands and set the table, please!" I was already setting the pasta in four separate plates, adding the sauce slowly.
"Comming mom!" The sound of the soccer ball hitting one of the walls didn't disappear, making it obvious he wasn't coming.
"Jason Romano, do it now." After Jeremiah being sent to Arkham, Jim asked me to change our surnames for protection. Not from Jeremiah, but from the people in Gotham. Valeska became a very hated name, so having it would bring danger to us.
The sound of the faucet turning on made my smile in victory. Being a single mom was complicated, more complicated if you had three children.
Veronica ran into the kitchen, stopping to catch her breath. "Mommy, I think I figured out the theme for my birthday party." I looked down at my daughter with a smile.
"And what is it?" She stood up straight to try to look taller.
"Remember that I was doubting between mermaids and princesses?" I nodded slowly. "Well, I have decided to make my party about ninjas." I laughed under my breath. She was just like me.
