Dean laid upside on his motel bed, his brother eyeing him suspiciously.

"Did you find anything yet?" Dean groaned. Sam chuckled.

"Yeah, I just wanted to see how long I could get you to lay there." He answered. Dean sat up and looked at his brother distastefully, making Sam chuckle again.

"Okay, so get a load of this. A girl is found dead at a local grocery store. A shelf collapsed on her." Sam told him.

"So, faulty construction. How is that our thing?" Dean asked.

"The shelf was on the other side of the store after it hit her." He replied. Dean nodded approvingly.

"Did you look into the history of the store?" Dean asked, paying more attention. Sam nodded, then clicked on another tab so Dean could see what he'd found.

"A mother lost her daughter to bad construction. Same shelf, same place. The mother hung herself in the girl's bathroom of the store the day after. Still had a husband and two other kids, too. Her name was Elaina Smith, and the dead daughter's name was Alexandra." Sam explained.

"Did the family file a lawsuit before Elaina died?" Dean asked. Sam nodded.

"They lost."

Dean groaned as he stood up to put on his leather jacket.

"Where?"

"Near here. A couple towns away, actually." Sam answered. Dean grabbed his keys to the Impala and circled his pointer finger in the air to motion them leaving the motel. Sam followed him out and into the car as he gave his brother an address.

The boys pulled out their fake badges as they came up to the yellow caution tape. A local police officer looked up at them quizzically.

"What do the feds want to do with this?" He asked as he let them pass.

"How does a shelf kill a girl then end up across the store?" Dean asked him with a straight face. The man didn't answer, instead taking a step out of his way. The boys passed him and entered the store, catching a horrible smell of the corpse. They came upon two men standing over the crushed body. They held up their fake badges again and the man nodded.

"Reina Miles. Crushed by a shelf in her own store. That has to be the saddest way to go out." The man sighed.

"Well, I'm sure there are other ways." Dean smiled awkwardly.

"Like how, officer Understall?" The man asked. Dean paused before answering.

"Well, personally I don't want to get ganked by a shark." He smiled again. The officer chuckled.

"Me either. How many of you feds do they plan to send out?" He responded sourly. Sam looked over at his brother for a split second.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, there was a woman here with the feds just before you got here. She seemed pretty shaken up about the entire thing." The officer told them.

"Probably a new recruit. They always get messed up for awhile over their first big bad case. What was her name?" Dean asked as he glanced over at his brother for a split second.

"Lorelai Jones."

"Oh, yes. Lori's a tough cookie, but she can get shaken up sometimes." Dean nodded.

"I'm gonna take a look around." Sam suggested to them both. He pulled out his EMF meter and took a walk around. He came upon the girl's bathroom and the meter shot up. He nodded, then returned to his brother and the officer.

"Well, I think we have what we need here. We'll be on our way." Dean nodded with a smile. The officer didn't respond as the boys left the scene.

"EMF?"

"Yup. It went crazy at the girl's bathroom. Definitely a vengeful spirit." Sam nodded.

"So, what do we do about the chick?" Dean asked. Sam rolled his eyes.

"The chick can probably kill you if she's a hunter." He pointed out.

"Pshh, I doubt it." Dean shrugged back. Sam chuckled at his brother before the two climbed into the Impala.
