"Do you need to stop?" Madeline asked. She noticed Joshua looked a little pale.

He didn't reply. He was to busy thinking. What did that guy mean to her when he said don't get to attached? To who or what?

"Hello! Is anybody home" madeline reached out and patted the side of his head.

"Huh? Yeah. What do you need?" He asked.

"Nothing. I asked you if you needed to stop?" She asked, slightly annoyed.

"No. I don't" he lied. The true was, even though he was stronger and fitter every passing day he got tired very quickly. He was behind schedule but most importantly he had to see if the kid was alright. He had to find him. So he continued to ride never noticing the slight movement of Lobstin in the bushes. He laughed in triumph.

He found more tracks. Two horses by the look off it. They were heading north, towards rising gulch. He prayed slightly it was heyes. What the hell he as doing with another horse he didn't know. He rode on through the woods barely stopping. He wasn't going to rest till he found heyes or the powerful horse beneath him gave out or he himself had to stop.

He rode on, snapping the reins ever so slightly on the back of the horse. He needed to keep going. His eyes were watering as the wind blew into his face. his hat fell of his head, resting on his shoulder blades by his draw strings.

He felt angry. He wanted to kill kyle and wheat and the rest of the boys for what they did to them both. Specially heyes. He was, after all, the former leader of the gang. So why the hell did they go and turn on them? If heyes was here he would be telling him to calm down. A smile formed on his face. But then it disappeared. His anger returned, threatening to overwhelm him. He breathed in deeply but it didn't help, the memories of what they had done to them made him uncontrollable. He was useless with his temper. He always fired up on someone.

she looked at the man next to her. he looked at her and smiled that dimpled smile. her heart fluttered at the sight.

" I never asked you. what were you doing out this far?"

ah. what was he meant to say.for once in his life he was speechless. come on heyes. use that silver tongue of yours.

" me and my friend .... we were doing something for our friend. and as you know ... we got attacked. that's pretty much it" he replied. " won't be trusting many people anymore"

she was quiet for a moment. "Well, you can trust me"

He smiled. "Thank you"

A warmth filled her heart. He trusted her. This man trusted her. She was glad... for once... she felt happy. For once in a couple of weeks. She sat back and relaxed.

While she was very happy , heyes was fighting a battle. He felt something for this woman. He didn't know why. He felt attracted to her. It was the same feeling he had had for a girl when he was 13. He couldn't be involved in her. He couldn't. He a was a wanted man. He started to relax. Hannibal heyes didn't let a woman mess with his head. He breathed out and enjoyed the peaceful scenery around him.

The sun was starting to set where Hannibal heyes and Madeline had decided to rest for the night. It was another cave again. But the trees around it was very young and they looked very beautiful. The grass was a soft green colour. It gave the woods a peaceful feeling.

Heyes didn't like being in this cave. It was very small. He didn't like to be in closed. What if someone tried something. How would they get out? He began to pace.
