chapter 36

"Ha, we beat you!" Maddy exclaimed as her horse pulled rein in the middle of a beautiful clearing. She could hear the rushing water flowing and the gentle breeze lifted her hair up from around her shoulders. She could hear the soft sound of hooves approaching closer and closer. 

Joshua and Thaddeus shot past them on their house and pulled rein opposite them. Joshua's hat had fallen down and was hanging down his back by his stampede strings. His hair was flowing gently in the breeze.

"Girls rule. We beat you!" Katelin called out to them with a big grin on her face.

"Aw, we're screwed heyes" Thaddeus dismounted. "Our ego is screwed too. We lost a horse race to two very pretty girls" he flashed a dazzling smile towards katelin causing her heart to melt and her stomach to flip.

"Yep, completely screwed"heyes dismounted. " what will out friends think of us now?" He mocked fake crying behind his hand.

Maddy clapped him on the shoulder. "Awh, don't worry. We won't tell anyone you both got your ass kicked by two 'pretty' girls"

Heyes pulled her towards him and embraced her, his cheek resting on the top of her head. He breathed in deeply, her scent filling his senses. He closed his eyes.

"Come on, let's get out the picnic" katelin clapped her hands together and pulled the basket of the saddle hook. She laid a red checkered blanket on the grassy meadow ground and pulled out plates of food. Sandwiches, pies and cakes. She laid them out neatly. Once she was finished she sat back on her heel and pushed her bushy hair out of her eyes. She felt someone move behind her and a shadow fell over her.

"Hey"

Thaddeus's voice sounded behind her. His finger traced her neck. She leaned in ever so slightly to expose more of her neck to him. Everywhere he touched her, left a trial of fire which lingered on her skin.

Just then Maddy and Joshua came over giggling and flirting with each other. They sat down on the blanket opposite her. Thaddeus came to sit between her and Joshua. She glazed at him from underneath her lashes, his blue eyes pierced her rather darker blue eyes. She blushed red.

"So what kinda food do we have?" Maddy looked round the plates of food and chose a sandwich.

Maddy and katelin were shrieking with laughter in the water. The sun was now high in the sky causing the trees to throw shadows over the ground. Their picnic place was now covered in shade. Joshua and Thaddeus were leaning against the tree as they observed the girls in the water. Both had removed their shoes and stockings and had their shirts held high, giving the boys decent looks of their creamy white thighs.

"How did we get this lucky heyes?"

"What you mean?" Joshua looked towards his cousin.

"Well, we have a bed to rest our heads every night, food to fill our stomachs and two glorious girls to see everyday" he sighed as his attention was drawn to katelin who was now running through the water with Maddy on her tail.

"I really do not know kid. Its almost to good to be true" heyes replied, watching Maddy as she ran after katelin.

"Yep, it sure is"

Katelin approached them out of breath. She flung her self down onto the blanket.

"Phew, I'm not used to all this. I'm normally stuck in the kitchen or cleaning" she exclaimed. She stretched out her legs so her ankles were showing.

Thaddeus could tell she wasn't used to all this. Her cheeks had a rosy glow to them which they hadn't before. Her hair was escaping her pins slowly. A few strands of her bushy hair was hanging down her face covering her eye.
