"You're going to tell me otherwise I'll bloody make you!" Mclaggen snarled. He sliced the sleeve of heyes' left arm.

"I've already told you! I didn't do anything!" Heyes shouted. He struggled under the weight of mclaggen but he couldn't free himself. He felt seething pain in his left arm as the point of mclaggens blade cut through his flesh, forming letters.

"Lair!" Mclaggen yelled. "Tell me!"

"I am!" Heyes screamed. "Please believe me!"

"I dont believe you!" Mclaggen formed another letter deeply in his lower arm. "You are going to tell me otherwise I will get downright mean"

"I'm telling the truth. I didn't take anything!"

"That's it! You've had it" mclaggen screeched. He thrusted his knife across heyes' chest ,gashing his flesh and tearing his shirt. Blood starting to pour out. "In pain? Good! That's what you get for lying!"

"I'm not lying please stop!"

Mclaggen shook his head and brought his face up close to heyes. His hand busy with his knife cutting letters deeply in heyes' lower arm.

"You're a bad lair heyes!" Mclaggen gashed open heyes' left arm with one swipe of his knife underneath the word lair and them underlined the word 'lair' in his right arm. Heyes started to scream and thrash around under mclaggens weight.

"Leave him alone!" Kid shouted. He felt nearly close to tears.

"No!" Mclaggen roared. "Not till he tells me what he did with that diamond he took from me!"

She could hear heyes' cries and shouts. It pierced her heart so much. She had hurt him to. By telling him she didn't love him. She couldn't stand it.

Carter turned round to her suddenly. "They're in there!"

She turned to where he had pointed. She began to run faster and faster. She had to see her family. She stopped short and turned. There in the corner sat her family.

"Abigail!" She cried. She ran to her sister and embraced her. "Oh Abigail"

"Madeline!" Abigail cried. She clung to her sister and sobbed.

Maddy had tears of happiness in her eyes. "You're safe now abigail! You're safe" she rocked her sister from side to side.

"I've missed you Madeline!"

"I've missed you to!"

"Oh Madeline" her father said. He pulled her into his arms and held her. "I love you very much dear"

"So do I daddy" she began to cry. Her mother joined in the embrace, stroking maddys hair. "Its alright dear"

She continued to sob on her father's chest. Not just of joy of finding her parents but out of the pressure she had been through and of what she did to Hannibal heyes.

Mclaggen left heyes laying on the ground. He was in a bad mood. Things weren't going according to plan. The boy wasn't telling him anything. Neither was his friend. Curse them both for ruining his plans! He started to pace, thinking of another way to get the boy to talk. Maybe threatening him? No that probably wouldn't work. Maybe just doing what he was already doing to him? No, it wasn't working. He stamped his foot in frustration. Damn them both! He breathed in deeply and pushed his hair back. Only one thing for it.

He approached heyes again and knelt down beside him. "You better tell me otherwise I'll kill ya! I ain't afraid to do it you know!"

"I'm telling the truth!" Heyes shouted.

"Lying isn't gonna do you much good heyes!" He shouted. "Tell me!"

Heyes moaned from the pain.

Mclaggen huffed and slapped heyes. He was beginning to seethe.

Kid watched as mclaggen continued to torture his friend. He had to get to him. But how? As if an answer to his prayer his ropes grew lose. He shrugged them off slowly and stopped up. He looked wildly around for his rescuer. He saw a streak of blonde disappear by the trees. He would find out later who had saved him right now he had to save his Partner from the murdering , torturing, pathetic excuse for a human. One thing he liked about the mclaggens gang is they never took his gun out of its holster. He checked the ammo it in and reholstered it. He untied kyle and the rest and they approached mclaggen slowly. Circling him.

"Put the knife down mclaggen!" Kid shouted. He aimed his gun at him.

Mclaggen turned round wildly and started to laugh. "You really think you can save your partner curry? Look at him! Before you know it he will be dead. And its his own fault for not telling me what he did with that diamond!" He signalled to his minions.

Kid took aim and fired. He hit monter in the shoulder. He aimed behind him and caught another one in the shoulder. The other boys were doing exactly what he was doing. Suddenly a shout made him freeze.

"Stop!"

Kid turned round and gasped. Mclaggen was supporting a semi conscious heyes. He held his knife to his throat.

"You heard your friend. Now drop them! Otherwise he gets it" he sliced the blade of his knife across heyes' neck. A thin line of blood appeared and slowly trickled down.

Kid bit back his anger and dropped his gun to the floor. The others followed shortly as well.

"That's it. Finally learning who's boss have ya?" He taunted. "Bagins? I think we better tie up these little heroes again"

Bagins approached them, ropes in his hands. Kid instinctively backed away.

"Hold it right there!"

Kid turned round to the source of the voice. No it couldnt be. He breathed out in relief. They were going to get out of this alive.

Mclaggen turned round as well. "What do you want!"

"Let the boy go mclaggen"Lom appeared from behind the bushes. Two other sheriffs behind him, all on atop on their horses. All their guns pointing at mclaggen.

"Nope" mclaggen said. His grip on heyes became tighter. He backed away slowly.

Lom dismounted and stood next to kid. "Let him go"

Mclaggen continued to back away further. "Not till he tells me the truth!"

"Let him go mclaggen! You're under arrest for kidnapping , murdering and torturing! Hand him over!" Lom raised his voice.

"Nope!" Mclaggen backed away further till he was on the edge of the cliff. He turned round to face the edge , a wide grin filled his face. He swung heyes round so he was standing on the very edge.

"Come away from the edge mclaggen" kid said. He stepped closer.

Mclaggen pointed his knife at them. "Stay where you are! Or I'll push him off"

"Not if i shoot you first!" Kid shouted.

"Shoot me and I'll make sure i push him off as I fall!"

Kid could see no way out of this without heyes falling of the edge to his death. He gritted his teeth.

"Alright! We will back away"Lom backed away, pulling kid with him. "Now bring him away from the edge"

"Nope"

Lom approached him again but stopped when mclaggen cut heyes with the knife. "Stay away!"

Lom backed away again. "Bring him away from the edge. You've lost mclaggen. Your gang have been arrested"

Mclaggen pondered this for a moment. Then shrugged. "So what?"

"Please just take him away from the edge" kid pleaded.

"Let me go!" Heyes cried.

"Shut it you!" Mclaggen sliced his knife across heyes' chest. He groaned softly.

"Let him go mclaggen!" Lom roared.

"Nope" mclaggen grinned enjoying the moment. He playfully pushed heyes ever so slightly but lost balance himself. He tumbled over the edge grabbing hold of the first thing he could grab. Heyes.
