Secrets 2

Prologue

"I was shocked when Louis called me."

I looked at Johannah, "Really?"

She nodded, "Before that I didn't talk or see him for over a year and that was only when he needed money."

"Hopefully, he doesn't do that again."

"It would be nice to see him more."

I smiled, "I'm sure he will now."

She smiled, "It's nice to see him so happy. I don't think I've ever seen him smile so much."

I looked into the living room through the doorway from the dining room. Louis was sitting in the floor playing with the twins. I noticed him look up, smiling when he saw me. I can't help but smile back. It's cute to see him with his sisters. I know whenever we decide to start a family he'll be a great dad. He's so good with his siblings. I felt Johannah put one of her hands on top of mine, "I don't think I can thank you enough for having him back around again and seeing him this happy."

I looked up at her, "At first he didn't want to call but we talked about it a few times and he surprised me with it. I let him make the decision to come back around since he told me so much about his past."

"He told you everything?"

I nodded, "He said that he never told anyone all of it."

She sighed, "I know he never told me all of it. It was just bad before he left. I know something bad was going on. I was surprised he didn't leave earlier than he did."

"I'm sure he'll eventually open up to you about it. It took him awhile to tell me."

She smiled, "I'm happy he has you now. I've never seen him stay with a girl and be happy with her like he is with you."

I smiled as she said that. I looked back towards the living room where he was at. I know he's trying to listen to everything we've been saying. I don't care. I don't have anything to hide from him. I noticed him smile at me again. I smiled, looking down. Johannah and I started talking again when I heard footsteps. I looked up and saw Louis sitting down next to me. He kissed my cheek, mumbling, "I love you."

I felt my face start to turn red. I didn't think he would be like this here. It's been nice sitting here talking to his mom. It's something that I never thought would happen. I never even thought I would be at his families house either. I love it though. I know this was a big step for him. I'm happy he did it for me.
