Doll looked around the fancy restaurant in awe, it was on the fifteenth floor of a skyrise building. The trio were led to a private room and Doll resisted the urge to rush over to look out the window. The view was incredible, Doll could practically see the entire city. She slowly inched over to the window trying not to draw any attention to herself as Hawks continued annoying Endeavor with a constant stream of babble about the food at the restaurant. She knew her mentor was about to lose his cool if Hawks didn't get to the point of their meeting soon.

Endeavor glanced over and noticed Doll next to the window, she seemed attentive and curious as she took in the view from the skyrise. She never left the Agency unless she were on duty and had very few moments to actually enjoy the world around her. Hawks noticed Endeavor was no longer pretending to listen to him and paused to follow his gaze. He smiled as he saw Doll in front of the window looking at the city below. Her demeanor was curious, she was practically pressed against the glass.

Doll smiled faintly to herself as she looked at the people bustling on the sidewalks below. People were out shopping, kids were playing, everyone looked like they were having a lot of fun. Everyone looked so happy and peaceful. There were couples and families doing various normal everyday things going to food markets, restaurants, and other various shops and boutiques. They were all laughing, smiling and even hugging from time to time. Hugs looked nice, she unconsciously wrapped her arms around herself wanting to experience the warmth and happiness all the happy people below were feeling. It didn't have the same effect, she didn't instantly smile or feel any sense of elation, just mild embarrassment.

A crimson feather drifted in front of her line of sight, momentarily startling her, it fluttered before her as if it were dancing before slowly flying away. She turned curiously and saw it slowly drift back to Hawks. Her heart skipped a beat as he offered her a smile and patted the empty seat beside him. How long had they been trying to get her attention?

"Where did you disappear to, little one?" Hawks pondered; it had seemed like Doll was lost in her own little world for a moment as she looked out the window. She frantically shook her head refusing to answer him as she was overcome with embarrassment.

Doll scurried over to the table feeling mortified for having been caught in a daze while attempting to hug herself. She paled as she realized there were only three seats and the only open one was the one Hawks was patting motioning for her to take. Her face burned beneath her mask as she awkwardly dropped into the seat.

Endeavor frowned as he watched his subordinate. Her mannerisms were very smitten schoolgirl-ish. She was acting awkwardly shy and flustered. He didn't like that she was charmed by the annoying brat and was worried how detrimental it would be to her psyche if Hawks was just teasing her. The brat was too hard to read, Endeavor wasn't sure of his motives.

"Cold?" Hawks looked to the eerie girl at his side wondering if that was why she'd had her arms wrapped around herself. He was about to shrug out of his jacket but paused as she shook her head and covered her masked face with her hands and turned away from him.

Endeavor rubbed his temples in frustration. Perhaps he should have come alone. He was worried about the rumors being true and Doll was one of his most capable sidekicks, she provided excellent support, could heal allies and civilians and was an impressive offensive combatant in close or mid range.

"Unwell?" Hawks was still pestering the humiliated girl trying to figure out what was wrong with her, only succeeding in making things worse.

"Leave her alone." Endeavor growled. "She's fine." He was losing his patience, "just get to the point, brat."

There was a soft knock at the door and a few servers spilled into the room with several plates of food. Doll chanced a glance at her mentor, he was ready to blow up on someone. Hawks dug in immediately while continuing on with the conversation they were having before as if nothing had happened. He was amused by the reaction of Endeavor's fan running away from him when he'd tried to be nice and get him an autograph. Endeavor had his arms crossed in front of his chest shooting a constant scowl in Hawks' direction. Doll looked between the pair of them curiously as Hawks talked nonchalantly irritating her mentor further.
