The interns were dismissed for dinner. Midoriya and Shoto decided to take their dinner in Doll's apartment, Bakugo begrudgingly joined them. Doll was curled up in bed with Buttons, under a pile of blankets as her body was still wracked with chills and the occasional wave of nausea or pain. She smiled as Midoriya asked her a million questions whilst scribbling down notes in a worn out notebook that looked like it had seen some better days. She answered his questions and was amazed to see every time he looked at her his bright green eyes were filled with admiration.

She was touched by his kindness. No one had ever looked at her that way without her bandages on. She'd never had someone look up to her before. Moved by his admiration, she answered all of his questions despite growing weary from the long conversation.

"Hey Doll?" Midoriya asked curiously once he'd shut his notebook.

"Hm?" Doll fought back a yawn and shivered as a chill ran down her spine. She unconsciously pulled the blankets tighter around herself.

"How long after someone has been injured are you able to heal them?" He pondered gaining the attention of Shoto and Bakugo who'd both been buried in their phones after growing tired of listening to Midoriya question Doll.

Doll thought about it for a moment, "it doesn't matter how old an injury is, I can still absorb it, why do you ask?"

Midoriya's face reddened, "ah, uh, no reason."

Doll frowned, "do you have an old injury you want removed?" She looked to the scar on his hand.

"Ah, no, not for me." Midoriya waved his arms in front of him.

"All Might?" Shoto pondered knowing Midoriya looked up to him more than anyone. Bakugo shifted in his seat at this.

"Ah, well that would be amazing too but I didn't even think about that...I was thinking about Iida's brother..." Midoriya noted.

Doll smiled, "when I recover, I'll help whoever you want."

"Y-you will?" Midoriya gaped at her in surprise. "Why would you do that for me?"

Doll smiled, "I've never had anyone smile at me the first time they saw me without my bandages...it was a nice feeling...so I'll repay your kindness."

"Oh wow, it'd be amazing if you could heal All Might and Ingenium." Midoriya grinned.

"You're going to heal All Might?" A gruff voice sounded from the doorway startling them all. Endeavor looked to his sickly pale subordinate, his face a stern mask hiding his true worry. When he'd been made number one hero, he'd contemplated asking Doll to heal All Might because he didn't like the way in which he made it to number one, but he couldn't bear to see her go through that kind of pain. An injury that severe could prove to be too much for her.

Doll turned to her mentor, though he looked angry on the outside, she could see worry in his teal eyes and knew he didn't want her to do it. She looked to Midoriya with a small smile, "if that's what Midoriya wants, then yes."

Endeavor kept a straight face but said nothing more on the matter. He tossed the book Hawks had given him to her. Doll caught it and looked at it curiously. "You three, out." He jerked his thumb at the door, "I need to talk to Doll."

The boys filed out of the room and Endeavor took Midoriya's abandoned seat next to her bedside. Doll threw him a questioning look, "did you figure out his hidden message?"

Endeavor smirked, "I should have known you'd have picked up on it sooner than I did. I'm sure there's a hidden message in there but I can't find it."

Doll opened the book and began scanning the highlighted passages. She closed it after a moment starting to feel weary again, "it's the second word of each passage."

Endeavor took the book back but stopped himself from reading it and looked to the sickly pale girl, "I don't think it's a good idea for you to heal All Might."

"Because you think it will kill me?" Doll asked him quietly.

"I think there's a chance that it might, and if it were up to me, it's not a chance I'd be willing to take, you mean too much to me...but I can't rightly tell you what to do..." Endeavor spoke softly.

Doll smiled, a sad lonely smile, "when he saw me, for the first time, without my bandages on...he smiled at me...no one has ever smiled at me, not like that, not when they first see me, they have to wait to realize the monster isn't as scary as they think, it takes time...but..." tears welled in her eyes, "it made me really happy when he smiled at me...I feel like I owe it to him..."

Endeavor clenched his fist at the thought of losing her, to save his old rival and possibly get him the fair fight he'd wanted, it still wasn't worth it. He could deal with his wrongly won position, he couldn't deal with losing her, not when she was finally starting to live life and venture out of her comfort zone. "Does the boy understand how your quirk works? From what I understand of him, I don't see him being the type to ask this of you with the knowledge that you take on the injuries you heal..."

Doll bit her lip, "...no...I don't think he completely grasps how my quirk works."

"If you're going to go through with this...you should tell him...if you ended up dying, I think that might possibly destroy him..." Endeavor noted and began skimming the book in his hands again. His eyes widened as he began to decipher Hawks' message. They had to be ready, The League of Villains and The Liberation Army joined forces. They numbered over a hundred thousand and in four months' time they were planning something big. He set the book down for a brief moment and ran a hand through his hair. Hawks wanted them to prepare numbers in case of failure. Endeavor thought for a moment, he had a feeling he meant the interns, they needed to be prepared which meant he'd have to seriously train the other two and not just Shoto.

"Endeavor?" Doll struggled to sit up, he looked shaken by the message Hawks had given him.

Endeavor reached the last two passages and felt something tighten in his chest, 'protect Doll'. He looked to his young subordinate and frowned as he thought back on the day's events. Hawks was being monitored, Doll had revealed her weakness and how close they were. She could be in danger if the villains felt the need to pressure Hawks. He straightened up and shut the book, "You're on house arrest, until further notice."

"Huh?" Doll stared at him in awe, "what does that mean?"

"You don't leave this building without my say so." Endeavor pointed.

Doll still didn't quite understand, "but I already don't leave without asking you..."

Endeavor sighed, "fine, allow me to elaborate further, you are not allowed to leave this building, unless I am with you and once outside of this building, you don't leave my sight."

Doll frowned, "why?" A worrisome thought crossed her mind and she paled. "Is Hawks in danger?"

Endeavor folded his arms across his chest, "I don't think so, he can take care of himself, I'm more worried about you. They may try to use you against him if they suspect he's not on their side..."

Doll felt something stir within her, she was worried for Hawks and she didn't want to be used against him, but beneath the fear, worry and anxiety there was a dark rage brewing. The thought of someone trying to hurt Hawks infuriated her. She nodded her consent to 'house arrest' as she tried to keep the anger at bay. If someone wanted to hurt Hawks, she would endure any pain to make them suffer.
