Hawks left for his date with Doll, he wasn't sure he trusted that he wasn't still being watched somehow and managed to get another coded message to Endeavor via another book. In it he explained that he was taking Doll for her safety. If he failed to bring her along with him, The Paranormal Liberation Front would make her a priority target due to her abilities to keep their strongest opponents in the fight longer.

Nobody stopped him as he walked into Endeavor's Agency. Burnin, one of Endeavor's sidekicks and Doll's fearless protector, greeted him once he stepped into the main lobby. She was around Hawks' age, maybe a year or two older and had a fierce gaze and flaming hair. Her piercing eyes narrowed as she spotted him.

"She's in the kitchen." Burnin crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Listen up, Feathers, if anything happens to her, you're going to have A LOT of people to deal with."

Hawks chuckled, "understood." He tossed her a book with one of his hidden messages, "why don't you give that a read sometime."

Burnin scowled at him and tucked the book into the pocket of her jacket before turning on her heel and returning to her post. Hawks made his way to the kitchen feeling anxious, nervous and riddled with guilt. He didn't want to put Doll in this position but he had to bring her with him at all costs so she wouldn't be targeted. At least if he brought her along with him, he'd be able to keep an eye on her, he could keep her safe.

As he reached the cafeteria a delightful aroma began to permeate the air, it was a blend of herbs and spices that made his stomach grumble hungrily. He stepped into the kitchen and froze as he spotted Doll wearing a ridiculously adorable, slightly oversized, chicken onesie, she had an apron around her waist and oven mitts on her hands as she stood in front of the oven watching the chicken pot pie she'd prepared, very carefully, bake.

Hawks held back a laugh at her ridiculous attire and quietly approached her. Once he'd successfully snuck up behind her, he tapped her on the shoulder and felt his heart flutter in his chest as she jumped, startled and spun around to face him. A radiant smile lit up her face and she threw her arms around him.

"Keigo!" She squealed in delight as he wrapped his arms around her.

His name on her lips did unspeakable things to his heart. He held her close for a moment before releasing her with a chuckle, "not that I don't approve or anything, it's probably the cutest thing I've ever seen, but what's with the outfit?"

Doll blushed and averted her gaze, "I told you I got something to cheer you up."

Hawks laughed and pulled her in for another hug, "and it worked."

Doll felt relieved, "oh good, Burnin said I should have dressed up as a..." she paused trying to remember the exact phrasing, "hot nurse or a sexy librarian."

Hawks choked on a laugh as he tried to think of the conversation that had led to this. He imagined Burnin thought the innocent girl was talking about something entirely different. "I think you made the perfect choice." He leaned forward and placed a kiss atop her head smiling as she blushed and stumbled away from him.

She bumped into the countertop and came to a stop causing the hood of her onesie to topple backward revealing a good portion of her neck and one of the fresh angry red bubbled up scars. Hawks looked to the scar, worried. It was new and it looked pretty nasty. He looked her over carefully, she seemed unsteady on her feet and was much paler than usual.

"What happened?" He asked her as he lifted her by the waist and sat her on the counter so she was at eye level.

Doll looked to him curiously.

He lightly traced the angry red bubbled up intersecting scars on her neck and frowned as she grimaced in pain, when she'd absorbed injuries before it didn't seem to hurt her after she'd healed. It must have been pretty serious. "What did this?" He tried to trace the scar but had no idea how far down it went as it got lost in her onesie, "how big is that scar?"
