Sal groaned as the hours passed and they finally fixed his mask. His boyfriend was an artist- that much was known, but he didn't know he could fix something with such precision.
"Thank you so fucking much, Lar... I'm so sorry this happened. We were both in the wrong, being childish. I was fed up and I'm sure you were too." Sal admitted with a shy look on his face. Larry nodded, taking Sal's hands in his own.
"Yeah, I was. But it doesn't make how I treated you ok. I'm sorry too." Larry replied, giving a small smile. Sal smiled back, kissing his cheek before standing and pacing the room slowly for a moment.
"I have a lot on my mind, Larry. I'm nervous, happy, sad. I wanna die, I wanna live. There's something... something wrong." Sal turned towards his taller friend. Larry got up and walked over to the boy, cupping his cheek.
"We can figure things out together." Larry stated. Sal leaned into the touch with a content sigh, then nodded. That night Sal and Larry conducted a seance to find it what was wrong- both boys aren't sure what happened that night entirely.
All they know is that Sal woke up with three long scratches running the length of his back, and Larry had seemingly carved a pentagram into his own thigh; Todd believes they were possessed.
...
Larry carefully approached Sal and tapped the boy's shoulder. Sal spun around quickly and grabbed Larry by the collar of his shirt and slammed his against a wall.
"Hey! Hey, hey... woah... it's me. It's me. Breath, Sal." Larry stated in a worried tone, his voice cracking. Sal tightened his grip and pushed him further into the wall as his breathing hitched slightly. "S-Sal, please... c'mon..." Sal slowly let go of his boyfriend and backed up, hitting the kitchen table and stopping dead in his tracks.
"Larry?" He asked with a concerned tone. "Oh my god, did it happen again? Did I hurt you again? Oh god, are you ok, Larry??" Sal questioned, rushing back over to his boyfriend.
"No, I'm fine. You scared me though. I woke up to piss and you weren't there, so I went to investigate." Larry replied, taking Sal's hands lightly.
"I'm sorry.. I don't wanna hurt you... ever since that fucking night. It's getting harder to control.. somethings not right with me, Lar. It has me... it feeds off my energy, I'm it's host... a temporary skin bag." Sal said quietly, fearing for his and Larry's safety. Ever since the seance strange things had been happening, mainly to Sal.
His eyes would tint red, he'd lose control and start mumbling something in a different language, he'd get extremely angry. The boy hadn't told Larry about the red eyes, but Larry has seen them; he'd experienced them. And they were scary: they weren't Sal's eyes. They didn't belong to him. They belonged to something much worse.
"Do you remember what Todd said? If... there's no going back? If I can't make it back?" Sal asked, locking eye(s) with Larry.
"No." Larry snapped back sternly. "There's always a solution. I can't... fuck, Sal, I couldn't... I'd kill myself before I even thought about hurting you."
"Larry. I'm serious. It could be quick, painless. If that thing... if he comes back, and I'm the only thing keeping you from getting rid of him? End me." Sal replied. Larry felt a lump grow in his throat.
"I can't, sal... I couldn't.. wouldn't... you don't deserve any of this. You're kind, amazing, gentle, caring, loving... fucking hell I could go on for days talking about you. I couldn't bring myself to kill you because I made the stupid decision to contact the spirit realm." Larry sighed out. Sal kissed his hand lightly.
"Promise me.." he whispered.
"Sal, I-"
"Please, Larry... promise me."
"I uh.. I promise.." Larry mumbled, causing sal to smile lightly.
"Thank you..."
