Journal entry 2

Hey journal.
Today me and Colby went to the beach. My mom took us, she suggested that we went swimming since it was hot.
It was a long drive but it was nice we all sat there dancing and singing to the radio. On the way to the beach my mom bought us some food and some ice cream. I got chocolate mint and Colby got cotton candy.
When we got to the beach we walked along the dock for abit, my mom bought our bikes so we went to ride around for abit. Colby didn't want to swim right away because there was so much people. So we waited.
After a hour of riding around we finally went swimming. Me and Colby went far out but not to far where we would drown. Just enough to actually float and swim. We made jokes and splashed each other. It was nice. This has got to be my favourite day of the summer.
After swimming my mom stopped at a restaurant and got us some food. We had pizza and fries and something else. I'm not to sure what it was but it was a dessert. It was chocolate and candy in it. It tasted good.
After the food we sadly had to drop off Colby. When we got to his house he looked sad. So i got out and opened his door. He got out confused but I hugged him. He smiled and went home. I was sad he had to leave but I did have a good day.
I am thankful for my mom for doing this and taking us out.
