~5 years later~
After me and colby ran off we found a house and a job. We were happy. We still keep in touch with Jackson, he found a wife and has 2 daughters. We also got married, didn't have any kids but that was going to change. Today because we are adopting.
I sat up and looked over. Colby wasn't in bed. I got up and threw on some sweats I ruffled my hair and headed downstairs. I walked into the kitchen and saw Colby dancing and cooking. I laughed and leaned against the door frame. He looked over and smiled. I walked over and leaned my head against his back. I smiled as he turned around and kissed my head. I looked up and saw a light in his eyes. "When are we going today?" He thought for a moment. " how about after breakfast and a shower?" I nodded. I did need to shower. He turned around and continued cooking. I sat down at the table and put my head in my hands. Colby set down a plate in front of me. "Thank you" he smiled and sat down. We both ate our food in silence the only sound was the music playing softly and the birds chirping from outside. I finished my food first so I went upstairs to shower. I got undressed grabbed some clothes and went to the bathroom, hopping in the shower.
I heard the door open and close again. "May I come in?" I chuckled and said yeah. I felt Colby wrap his arms around me his chin resting on my shoulder. I turned around and kissed him. "Excited?" I nodded and continued to wash myself. I was done and got out Colby still washing his hair. I dried off and slipped on my clothes, a white shirt with black jeans. I brushed my teeth and as I was finished Colby was getting dressed. "Come onn hurry."
-At the orphanage-
(I don't know how adopting works bare with me)We sat there waiting, finally the lady came back. She nodded we got up and followed her. We sat in a room, one by one we interviewed a kid. After we were done we talked with each other. We decided on the 12 year old girl Sophia . She had brown hair and blue eyes, button nose and she was adorable. We talked to the lady. She made us sign a few papers. We decided to take in Colby's last name. I smiled at Colby as I held his hand. The little girl finally came down smiling. I smiled at her as she came to stand by us. I felt her wrap her hand around my two fingers. I looked at Colby in awe. He smiled at me and grabbed her bags. We waved at the receptionist.
This was a new start.
