*saturday morning*

*stella's pov*

"hey maya, how about we go out for breakfast this morning?" i ask her from the kitchen

"yeah sounds good, i'm not up for cooking either." maya answers

We both go to our rooms and get dressed. I just put on some light blue ripped jeans, my high top white converse and my red v neck shirt. I did a natural makeup look for this morning, even though tonight i'm gonna take it off and redo it all before the party.

I grab my purse and head back to the living room, i check my phone and there's still no calls or texts from isaac...is he mad at me for leaving? I don't know if i should call him or just end it.

"hey, you good?" maya asks me. I didn't even realize she was standing there staring at me

"uh yeah, i just...i still havent received any calls or texts from isaac all week. It's not like him. And i've already called him before and sent a text but no response." I say putting up my phone

"that's not like him stel...give him a call and leave a voicemail this time saying you guys need to talk. I hate seeing you upset like this" she says back to me as we walk out of the apartment

We get to a place called ministry of coffee, and maya and i walk in and get a table and order our food.

"I-I think i'm gonna call isaac right now while we're waiting" i say to maya and i pull my phone out and call him. To my surprise he picks up.

*on the phone*

stella: Hey? um it's been a while, where have you been? i've been trying to contact you and you don't respond to me or anything.

isaac: uh...yeah...sorry i've been really busy doing some things around the apartment. I just forgot to text you i'm sorry stel.

stella: what things are you doing around the apartment? i'm sorry, i was just worried because you weren't ans-

you can hear someone come into Isaac's apartment

isaac: (girls voice) hey babe i'm home!! help me with the groceries!!"

stella immediately looks up at maya and her eyes water. She puts isaac on speaker so maya can listen too.

stella: isaac who is that. Who just walked into the house? why is she calling you babe. Who is that isaac???

stella's trying her hardest not to cry in this coffee shop.

Isaac: uh it's nobody, nobody's here stella. Look i gotta go. (girls voice again) "hey who are you on the phone with babe?"

*isaac hangs up before stella can say anything*

Maya looks up at stella with a concerned and pissed off face.

"stel...it's okay. You know what, just end it. He doesn't deserve you. I'm so sorry baby girl but it sounds like he's cheating...i didn't recognize that girls voice, i don't know who it is. But you're better off without him, you deserve so much better. It's gonna be okay, i'm here. How about we just get our food and go back home, yeah?" maya says looking at me and her eyes are watery too.

"y-yeah." i manage to say back to her.

it was a silent car ride all the way back to the apartment, we got off and i immediately just went and plopped on the couch. I turned on netflix and just watched that for the rest of the day with maya till we had to get ready for the party.

Yes i am still going to the party, it'll help me get my mind off what occurred earlier. At this point I just need anything to numb this pain, i feel like my heart is in my stomach. And i can't do anything to bring it back up.

*Ashton's pov*

"you guys ready for tonight?" sierra asks all of us.

"hell yeah, we haven't been to a house party in ages" I say back to her while buttoning up my black shirt with the red hearts on it.

"yeah, i feel like tonight's gonna be fun" calum says

michael and crystal still haven't gotten here to the house, crystal said they had to go on a food run because michael was going to die if he didn't eat anything. Typical michael.

"how far is the house from here sierra?" we were currently at mine, getting ready. The party is in an hour.

"it's about a 10 minute drive, so not too far let's hope traffic isn't bad right now" she answers

we've been touring this whole past year, it feels good to be back in LA. It's not home, but it's kind of a home away from home since we all have houses here. But tonight I feel lucky, I have a good feeling about tonight...let's hope it stays that way once the party starts.

"hey ashton, you think you're gonna find a cute girl tonight?" luke asks me laughing

"you know what, yeah i just might. I'm feeling lucky" i say back smiling

"well just be careful, we don't want another girl like-"

I cut luke off, "Don't." is all I say and luke stops.

"okay, sorry I didn't mean to piss you off. We just don't wanna see you hurt again mate." luke says as he gets up and pats my shoulder and walks out of the room.

My ex girlfriend wasn't the best girlfriend. She was very toxic, I never noticed it at the time because I was head over heels in love with her. I tried to make her happy but it was always never enough, and she became very controlling. We would argue all the time, things never got better. I ended it with her after a year, it became too much. I was a complete wreck after her, but i'm slowly getting better now. I'm mostly over her, I just hate talking about her. The topic gets me mad.

But that's the past now, I want to just get past it and move on. Get back to the old me. Open my heart up to someone new possibly...is that so wrong?
