unexpected visitor

*3 weeks later*

*Ashton's pov*

"so how about pizza for dinner babe?" I ask stella from her kitchen.

"yeah babe sounds good can you put in an order?" She says, smiling at me from her couch.

"yeah i'll order it online right now" I answer her as I grab my phone and go to the domino's website.

*10 minutes pass by*

There's a knock at the door, I look down at my phone and see it's only been 10 minutes.

"wow that pizza guy is fast?" I say to myself.

Stella's in the bathroom and I yell to her, "I think the pizza's here!"

I open the door and there's a guy standing there, no pizza in hand. He looks exhausted, and confused when he sees me.

"oh sorry I must have the wrong apartment" he says

"hey babe the pizza's here already?" stella says as she comes up from behind me. She stops dead in her tracks when she sees who's at the door.

"I-Isaac?" is all she says

Isaac? THIS is Isaac? I look at her then to him, and he's already staring at me.

"are you kidding me this is your new boyfriend?!" he yells at stel.

"hey excuse you you're not going to speak to her like that. And yes i am her new boyfriend is that a problem?" I say as I step in front of stella.

"I came here to fucking fix things with you i drove for 23 hours to see you and talk to you about us and you're already screwing someone else?" he yells

"She doesn't wanna fix things with you that's why she's with me pal. And if i were you i'd fucking stop yelling at her, like you have room to fucking talk anyways. Leave. Now." I say to him, and I feel stella grab my arm from behind me.

I turn and look at her and she's hiding behind me, her eyes watery. I don't want to get into fight with her ex right in front of her, but I just might if he doesn't fucking leave.

"you're not the fucking boss of me, I came here to fix things with Stella. I'm gonna talk to her move." He says as he tries to push past me.

Oh fuck no.

I grab his shirt and pull him back out into the hallway.

"Stella, honey go to the room please." I say to her and she nodds and runs to her room.

I hear the apartment door close and I turn back to Isaac. I push him up against the wall and hold him there by his shirt.

"Look I don't know why the fuck you showed up here to her apartment, or how you even know where she lives but I'm warning you right now I better never fucking see you here again or you're gonna regret it. You broke her, completely broke her. She's an amazing girl and all you did was hurt and betray her. She deserves better than you and that's exactly what she has right now. It's been months since you guys have broken up, and YOU cheated on her several times. This is my last warning to you, I better never see you come around here again or you're gonna fucking regret it. Leave. Now." I say through gritted teeth and I let go of him.

He scoffs and shakes his head, "she always comes back to me, you don't know her like I do." He says

"funny, you see, you know the OLD stella. Not the new one, she's not the girl you used to know. She's stronger now, she's a completely different person. You don't know her anymore." I say back, with a tight grip on the door handle.

"whatever man." He shakes his head and walks away.

I walk back inside and shut and lock the door. I head to stella's bedroom and I see her on her bed with her head in her hands.

"stella...honey..." I say and I reach my hand out towards her. She looks up from her hands and jumps onto me and wraps her arms around me tightly.

"I didn't know he was gonna show up I swear. Is he gone?" she says in my neck and I hold her tighter.

"it's okay you don't have to apologize hun, and yes he's gone" I say, and I kiss the side of her head and hold her in my arms

"at least the pizza guy didn't show up and see all that happen" She says and let's out a little laugh.

Even in bad situations, stella always finds something to lighten up the mood.

I laugh and shake my head at her words, "yeah you're right, I wonder where he is actually i'm starving" I say

She smiles at me and gets off her bed, we both walk back to the living room and she plops on the couch.
"i'll go online to the tracker thing and check babe" she says as she grabs my phone to check.

"hey um...what did he say? I heard a bang outside like something hitting something. But you don't have bloody knuckles or anything saying you guys fought?" she says, looking up at me.

"nothing, I just told him off. Told him to leave and not come back that's all. I did push him against the wall though, not gonna lie." I say and I sigh.

"i'm so sorry that he showed up. I haven't even talked to him in months, that's so weird for him to just show up out of nowhere" she says and she has a confused look on her face.

"yeah I know, I thought about that too. It's just strange" I say back, and I sit with her on the couch.

She sighs and lays in my arms, "i'm just so happy to have you in my life ash, you've really changed me for the better. I can't thank you enough for that"  she says to me.

I smile, and kiss the side of her head. "I could say the same to you stel, you've made me a better man. In every way. I've waited so long for someone like you to come into my life and well now you're here. I'm so blessed to have you sweetheart" I say back to her, and I wrap my arm around her and hold her.

I could lay here with her forever, but forever is cut short because the pizza guy just knocked at her door.
