———Y/n's POV———
I rush back to my desk after reading the scroll about Ninjago's Destiny.
"I have to fix this!" I mutter, grabbing my quill and scribbling something down.
Y/n will now be sent to Ninjago.
———Nya's POV———
"Come on, pint size, show me what you got," I say to Lloyd. The others have gone on a mission, but they left us here to train. Lloyd yawns, but he gets in a ready position.
We fight for a little bit, until I claim victory. "You can do better than that!" I accuse as I help him off the ground. "What's on your mind?"
"Nothing," he says bashfully, looking away.
"Come on, you can tell me."
He sighs. "Fine," he replies, then proceeds to tell me about wanting this new comic book that will sell out if he doesn't get it today.
"The ninja wouldn't let you go?" I ask.
"No, they say I have to stay here and train. But if I'm too old for comic books and too young to fight, then what can I do?"
"You can train," I say simply.
"But why?" he asks sadly. "I didn't ask to be a ninja."
My expression softens, and I put my hands on his shoulders. "It's not fair for you to be put in this position, I know. But Ninjago needs a hero, and you're the best person to face Lord Garmadon, since he'll go easy on you."
Lloyd looks confused. "Wait what?"
"You're the best person to—"
"Yeah, yeah, I heard you the first time!" He exclaims. "I can't believe it! That's the reason I was chosen? What makes you think he'll go easy on me?"
"Because deep down, he loves you, and doesn't want you hurt."
"I don't know what you've all been told, but my dad doesn't care about me. And even if he did, the darkness that controls him will make sure that he doesn't back down from what's in his way."
I stare at him, not sure what to think. "So... you don't think you're the green ninja?"
"No."
My breathing quickens. "This is bad, this is very, very bad..."
"Uh... what's bad?"
"Did I just say that out loud?"
"Yes," Lloyd says, his expression showing that he suspects I might be losing my mind.
"Forget it. Pretend I didn't say anything."
"No, tell me!" He says forcefully, but not in his whiney childish voice.
"Ah!" A voice says behind us, followed by a crashing sound.
"Who are you?!" Lloyd and I exclaim, turning around to the owner.
"Y/n," the newcomer answers, standing up from the floor. The kid's about Lloyd's age, but a lot shorter. "And you are?"
"I'm Lloyd. And this is N—"
I swat him before he can tell the mysterious stranger my name.
"Where did you come from?" I ask.
"Uh... the sky?"
"That doesn't make any sense," Lloyd says. "People don't live in clouds."
"How did you know I was from Cloud Kingdom?"
"You're from Cloud Kingdom?"
"Oops. You're not supposed to know that."
"Well, what are you doing here?"
"There's been a change to Ninjago's destiny scroll," y/n says, holding up a document. "There were two people who could possibly be the green ninja—"
"What?!" Both me and Lloyd exclaim, except in two different tones. While I was nervous y/n would reveal my secret, Lloyd seemed excited at the possibility of not being the chosen one.
"Let me finish. When it comes to writing out the fate of an entire realm instead of a single person, authors will work together to make a manuscript, and once it's published, everything will happen according to plan. However, somehow, the scroll doesn't say the same thing as when it was published."
"What changed?" I ask, thinking I already know the answer. "Does this have something to do with the green ninja?"
Y/n nodded. "The golden weapons chose the wrong person."
