Y/n's POV

"I think I know someone who can help us," I say to everyone.

"Really? Who?" Zane asks.

"Mistake."

"Who's that?"

"The tea lady," I explain. "She might have something that can age you—and the Grundle—forward."

"Where can we find her?" Kai asks.

"Leave that to me and Lloyd. Nya, take these four to the comic book shop."

"Um... why?"

"That's how it was written, okay? I don't make these thing up."

——————Lloyd's POV———

Y/n and I are walking on the outskirts of town, trying to reach Mistake's tea shop. Man, it is really far away.

"Why did you bring me along?" I ask y/n. "The ninja look like they can use all the help they can get."

Y/n sighs. "It's complicated."

"Well, we've got time."

We walk a few more minutes in silence, until y/n finally decides to tell me the truth.

"If you went with the ninja, then you would age forward like the rest of them. And even though that's what's written, I don't think it's fair for you to miss out on your childhood. Especially since your not meant to be the green ninja after all."

I gulp. "I would have turned older?"

"Yep."

I don't know how to feel about that. On one hand, being older would be nice, since nobody could tell me what to do, but I knew deep down that it's a good thing I didn't skip my childhood.

"So, Nya's pretty much replacing my spot in the story?"

"Pretty much. For now, at least."

"Wait, but if Nya's with the others, then wouldn't she turn older?" I ask. "Like, way older?"

Y/n stops walking.

"Uh, oh," my new friend mutters. "I didn't think this through."

————Nya's POV———-

I take the ninja to the comic book store. The whole time, I'm trying not to laugh as they trip over their oversized clothing.

"It's not funny!" Jay yells. "Stop smiling!"

I laugh. "You're so cute when you're mad."

"I. Am. Not. Cute!"

"Fine. How about adorable?"

"We're here," Zane announces, stopping in front of the shop.

"What do we do now?" Cole asks. "Should we wait for y/n and Lloyd?"

"I'm not sure," I say. "They didn't say."

"Why don't we go in?" Kai suggests. "At least in there we won't look so ridiculous."

The others look down at their too-big ninja suits, and at the people staring at them, and we all decide Kai's right.

"Hey, look! It's Daffy Dale! I used to love this," Jay remarks as we walk down the aisles of the shop.

Everyone stares at him.

"Heh heh, um, so juvenile," he says, trying to cover up his excitement, and puts the comic back on the shelf. But out of the corner of my eye, I see him pick it back up again.

"When do you think y/n and Lloyd are gonna get here?" Kai asks. "We need to turn older so we can face the Grundle!"

Suddenly, we hear a giant booming footstep above us. Everyone in the store slowly looks up, confused.

"Uh, oh," Cole mutters. "It's here."

"What's here?" The man behind the counter asks.

"You haven't heard of a Grundle, have you?" I ask him.

"Of course I have," he replies. "It's one of the most difficult monsters to beat in D&D."

"Well, you're about to meet one."
